@ByTheGram You obviously heard wrong. As a writer, Louis C.K. was more well known FOR The Chris Rock Show, NOT Late Night with Conan O' Brien. Nothing was ever said about either show being superior to the other.
This was decent show (great for studio sitcom standards), but we all lucked out that it got canceled. It changed Louie's perspective and development of stand-up and led him to eventually make "Louie", which is brilliant.
@Charamia2392 who gives a fuck that he transfered a jew jokes to the theme, both shows are the funny and entertaining. Fuck off elsewhere if ur dissapointed. Sorry for being a dick but i'ts this criticism that prob got the show cancled. And i Loved this show, so fuck
There's a video of Louis from a show of his a few years ago and this was the exact same theme. You know, about kids never being satisfied with a single answer and keep asking why why why. Even the dialogue is almost exacty the same. Is this show copying all of his previous acts from when he was still a stand up comedian or is it only in this episode?.. I'm a relatively new fan of Louis and this is a bit disappointing to be honest.. :/
@Charamia2392 Honestly, that's the only major joke that I've noticed him transplant into this show. His new show has pretty great original jokes and plotlines, so if you like his style I'd recommend watching 'Louis'.
@Charamia2392 Well, it is usually somewhat normal for a comedian to transfer their stand up routine over to a fictionalized incarnation of it, and vice versa. This is true. C.K. did in fact do that with this bit about "Why," and I believe he has done that with several others (i.e., "our daughter isn't going to be a fucking artist!"). I do believe that the transfer of jokes do MUCH better with his new show "Louie." (if there are any - so far, I have only seen a few). Thanks for watching!
@Charamia2392 Are you crazy? Stand ups write bits and think "It would be great to have this in a TV show." One day, after years and years of work, they get that opportunity. You saying you wouldn't do the same?
Only seen a few episodes, but I'm still a bit unsure about this show. The comedic timing of most of the actors is far from great. The woman who plays his wife is very good, but Louis isn't a great comedic actor so he needs a stronger supporting cast to bounce off, in my view. It has some great ideas, though.
@mufc187 He's improved enough to gain an Emmy nomination for acting but really he's no worse than Jerry Seinfeld was throughout the ENTIRE run of Seinfeld.
@Superstarseven I actually didn't think Jerry Seinfeld was as bad as a lot of people made out. Sure he's no actor, but he's such a natural in front of the camera that I think he ended up doing a very solid job. But the big difference is that he had that strong supporting cast to bounce off. Louis' cast are a lot more wooden and lifeless, so it highlights his deficiencies a little more. But that's just my take.

The one gripe I have with Louie CK is his recycling of jokes between episodes and tv/stand-up acts.

All that thought provoking and controversial stuff is true, but the thing that puts louie as a great comedian for me is he's just purely funny.
I actually loved this show, good to see I'm not the only one.
Great vid.
