I grew up listening and admiring country singers that wrote their own songs telling about their heartaches and the pain they have endured in their lives. Singers like George Jones and Vern Gosdin. Nowadays not only in country music but most music in general a lot of these singers are churning out a dime a dozen songs only designed to line the pocketbooks of the execs at the recording studio who doesn't appreciate a good quality song when they hear one. But God help us if we have our own style.

I agree wholeheartedly, if they had come out now instead of way back when, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones would be Country. Most of the crap they play on the radio now make me want to vomit, so I just don't listen anymore.
