  • nice!! sounds like its coming from a modular!

  • Nice job Arjen. This is taking the 08 to another level.Best Demo I've heard of the 08 sequencing.

  • Great job! Do you have a link to download the patch?

  • @Geeklapeeno Thanks! I'm sorry but I don't have the patch up for download.

  • Very nice. One of the few demos I've listened to all the way through. Looking for a unit to purchase, the '08 moves to the top of my list.

  • This is the best demo of the Prophet 08 there is. Period. Beautiful, thank you!

  • neat sound

  • This is great, can you trigger sequences or latch them without holding a key?

  • @jeffkissinger Thanks! Yes, you can but I prefer this method. :)

  • @maskineri Thank you so much. This has been the one feature that I needed to confirm before I was ready to get one. Thanks again.

  • one of the nicest demos actually demonstrating real use,! sounds very nice, great sequencing as well,

  • is there delay/echo on this arp sequence, if so it it coming from the 08?

  • @astralfalcon As I stated in the information: "The audio is routed through a Moog MF-104Z BBD delay, a Maxon AD999 BBD delay and T-Rex Room-mate reverb.".

It's not an arpeggiator sequence by the way, it's a step sequence. ;)

  • @astralfalcon(apologies for not reading the info..duh) so are you coming out mono into the pedals? what would you recommend doing if you wanted to process a stereo signal i.e. which compact effects box would u use say for a chorus effect?

  • @astralfalcon Hehe, no problem. I routed the stereo signal to the mixer and sent both channels through two auxiliaries. One aux is for the reverb and the other for the delays which are chained (one for the left and one for the right channel). This takes up a total of six channels.

I can't recommend a chorus at the moment because I don't own one but I would look for one with a stereo input and output for processing stereo signals. Mono input and stereo output will probably sound nice as well.

  • I think I could listen to this all day long. Tho give me Evolver!! :P thats some even more seq madness IMO.

  • That's excellent, REALLY nicely done. And the synth sounds gorgeous.

  • Beautiful!

  • wicked man, love it!

  • @VivacissimoMedia No problem! I would definitely recommend the Pot Edition. Soundwise it's pretty amazing for polyphonic leads and multilayered sequences, personally I don't realy like the sound of the DCOs when heavily filtered but overall it's worth the money.

  • @VivacissimoMedia Thanks! Yes, you can. All Prophets have the same internal workings. It might even work better with the PE, I usually get annoyed by the endless rotaries while I'm tuning the steps.

  • Beautiful, also having the Prophet (keyboard version), this video is so inspiring. many thanx m.

  • I love this tune btw. Can you put it out on vinyl?

  • @unciase1 Haha, thanks! Maybe I will in the future. :)

  • You can have more than one part playing at the same time?

  • @unciase1 Yes, the Prophet '08 can play two 4-voice layers and its sequencer can sequence each oscillator separately. In this particular video there are 3 sequences going on in the same patch.

  • Need a signal flow tutorial. Paypal u for a skype? Email me at petewonder@mac.com

  • nice vid - i'll buy one too....

  • Nice work ! congrats

  • This is REALLY GOOD !!! : )

  • I hated the sound of this synth - before I saw this video. Excellent work!

  • @ZenMetsuri Thanks, I'm glad I could change your mind. :D

  • cool job, man :) nice

  • @MaikUniversum Thanks!

  • lush... wonderful instrument!
