  • This world is crazy is itn't?

  • Great thanks for uploading this , still love it even though im 41. LOL xx

  • as much as i love the jungle book as it is, i kinda wish Bill peet's version could be released in like a book, Jungle Book adapted by Bill peet or something.

  • It's werd, in Kipling's version, Kaa is Mowgli's mentor and helps Bagheera and Baloo but Pete and Disney made him a villian. I wonder why?

  • @GreshProject i think i read somewhere that Walt Thought Nobody WOuld Accept a Snake as a good guy

  • @eagc7 When did you red that?

  • @collgoff i forgot, but i did read that somewhere

  • @eagc7 That's o.k. I red that Mowgli shouldn't talk like a real boy.

  • I'm in the process of reading the original Rudyard Kipling Jungle Book (courtesy of the iPhone app "iBooks") and I'm thoroughly enjoying it, although I'm amazed at the sort of "personality-swap" between Bagheera and Baloo; Baloo is a sort of wise teacher of the laws of the jungle, but Bagheera is more of a carefree personality.

  • Thumbs up if you think the original beggining with Bahgeera and the wolves rescuing Mowgli would have been a better one than the one they actually used and Rocky the Rhino should have been in the part with the vultures.

  • In my ideal version, Rockie is the Vultures's best friend who fights Shere Kahn instead of Baloo at the end. He nearly dies when gets thrown against a tree but then Baloo arrives and revives him. Then they wach Mowgli scare away the tiger and when Mowgli leaves, he stays with the vultures.

  • My one regret that they made a new story as apposed to the original try at re-writing the story is they cut Rocky the Rhino. As a kid, I wanted to see arhino or hippo or gazelle or something in the movie that wasn't there.

  • Where did you found this documentary?

  • I would have liked to have seen the dramatic opening, maybe as an extra feature. But I think the idea of cutting down the action to spend more time on character development was a good idea, especially since Baloo at least is among the greatest Disney characters.

  • @phoenixfriend yeah, me too. but back then this story was for 6 to 10 year olds, and probbably wounldnt understand those things.

  • this from the dvd? cause I don't remember this from the VHS o.o;;

  • @yamiyugifangirl lol it's on the VHS too I think, maybe a shortened version, but I remember watching the video, then watching this after the credits XD

  • @chumshot1: I know that it was on the VHS because I have it, but this was my first time seeing it from the DVD

  • Did Bill Pete and Walt Disney ever made amends? I always heard Pete was furious at Walt for creative differences for the changes he did to this movie, but did they ever patch things up before Disney ever die?

  • @Guernicaman No, Sadly :(

  • Greatest Disney Movie Period.
