1:00 awesome method for bringing up both synth cuts. I never thought of that. As an EMX-1 owner i can verify that these are all sounds from the box. He may not have enough fx left to add distortion to the kick. EMX-1 only gives you 3 blocks for fx. It's a shame that Korg could have given us a powerhouse of newly expanded technology with their latest grooveboxes, but instead just repackaged the EMX-1 with an SD card port and some new patterns and will sell it again for another 4 years.

all of sound you listen to in this stuff is 100% from EMX-1 :)

i didn't use any other gears!!

and EMX can't sample any sounds...

so when we use a EMX, we have to construct drums from only preset drum sample.

Iv been on google now and done a bit revising.

All i need to know now is does it come with all the samples you will ever need. Or do you have to put your own samples onto it to get better sounds.

There is quite alot on there, for instance there are 207 different sounds for the drum parts and 9 parts to programme them onto. I don't think you can put new samples on them, I think it's the ESX-1 that can do that only. I got mine last week and I'm only doing some Enter Shikari covers to get to know it before I start on my own. It is easy to get the basics for it but when you start messing with synth effects etc it can be a tad confusing. 100% worth it though.

after a few months (once you really get the hang of it) youll be able to create basic beats in literally minutes. and i think its very easy to use for live gigs

he's sweeping the cutoff for the low pass filter. he want's to do both at the same time though, so quicky switching between patterns 4 and 5 lets him sweep both of them at the same time :)
