  • few live by the honor and power of Grayskull!

  • For the Arousal of Grey skull! (Not literally. XD)

  • I swear that the idea of Xena came from She-ra. Where else coudl it come from? There's no other bad ass chick whose dressed like that with an awesome sword and a horse. They really need to make a He-man and She-ra live action movie. They're remaking everything else, why not this?!

  • @rosewolfamethyst

Umm, didnt Xena come BEFORE she-ra? maybe not..

  • @defenderoFreedom Xena was created for the 90's show

    and She-Ra was 80's cartoon.

  • @defenderoFreedom Ah Xena was out in the 90s and She-ra was out the 80s.

  • @rosewolfamethyst there was a He-man live action movie in the 80's, it bombed....to cut the budget, they somehow had him end up..on EArth. Also, She-Ra was supposed to be in the movie, but Mattel ordered her purged, because at that time they ordered FILMATION to pull the plug on She-Ra, and yanked all evidence that they ever HAD "Princess of Power".

  • @raakone I remember that god awful movie when it came out. It was horrible. It's funny that Courtney Cox and that guy from Star Trek Voyager was in it. imdb.com Masters of the Universe.

  • @rosewolfamethyst I loved that movie. xD

  • he-man's transformation used to scare the hell out of me when i was a kid

  • I like He-man's better...

  • I found something on She-ra..the closest thing I found was Shera, Aramaic for "Brightness"

  • Wait...Cringer can talk?

  • ...hands down, the best duo transformation in a cartoon series of all time....

  • wonderfulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • just cool sounding names in english. Back then, that is! However lame a childhood cartoon is, the memories are priceless.... I still love the idea of so many children's shows, even if I watch them now and realise they would be laughed at now...who cares?

  • @mrsmaz76 Name He-Man or Bob would make

little difference for me, since when I was kid and

watched this I did not know english. lol

For some reason they din change He-Man/She-Ra.

Other super heroes usually got a translated silly swedish name,

like Superman was/is called Stålmannen wich means the Steelman.

Batman was called Läderlappen wich means Leatherpatch.

They tend to not give those silly names nowdays,

prolly cuz them kids know english real erly compared to back then.

Såg aldrig nån show med honom läste serietidningar.

  • @Kratos8566 Sent svar men såg aldrig denna kommentaren innan.

    So I stand corrected......

  • Whis is He-MAN and She-RA.

    Wouldn't it be She-WOMAN?

I mean, I'm from Argentina so I'm not an English speaker. Does RA mean something in English? (besides the Egyptian God)

  • @leotizi I dont know what ra could mean besides sungod(i'm swedish btw).

She-Woman would not be very awesum name,

just try sing it instead of She-Ra in the song thingy. =p

    It does not work. xD

I think they might have just invented it to make it sound catchy mabie?

  • @leotizi It sounds more majestic, if you ask me.

  • @leotizi nah...it was just a supposed to be a snazzy tag at the end of "She-..."

  • @leotizi possibly a total femminization of the word "hero"....the "he" became "she".....and the part at the end was changed, using "Spanish logic"...."ro" became "ra".

  • I like he-man then she-ra

  • @Jakob2202 Maybe! hehehe thanks!

  • I got such goosebumps when I saw this for the first time! He-Man and She-Ra together?!

How could you NOT be in awe?! He-Man and She-Ra FTW!

  • I guess She-Ra doesn't say i have the power because shes a woman and she doesn't.

  • @caimarcblade Not sexist or anything there lol.

  • I HAVE THE POWER!!!!

  • @StevesChillin87

more like: I. HAVE. THE POWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRR

  • Shera is so fricken hot... Im ready to fight for her

  • I love how Cringer and Spirit are always conveniently standing to Adam and Adora's right. So that they can keep reusing the same stock footage.

  • he-man's theme was better by far... the power in his voice when he say ' I HAVE THE POWER'.. i STILL get chills when i hear it.. grew up in the 80's.. best time for cartoons.. they had morals.. not the empty time wasters of today

  • wouldnt say she-ra should say rip-off lol

  • mmmm.....mushrooms! lmao!

  • EPIC!!!!

  • This is absolutely epic!

  • I'd smash she ra's back doors

  • Anyone else notice that Adam's energy here is blue rather than the traditional golden white?

  • she male and he female

  • Lol at Frenger the silly battle cat!

  • Comment removed

  • He-mans tranformation is still as awesome now as it was back then..she-ra on the other hand..not so much...

  • EPIC wasn't a word used often by anyone in the 80's but looking back on this now and it was indeed an epic moment.

  • It should really be "she-women" not she-ra

  • @dx80cruiser

I see what you did there and you have a point, xD

tho it would be quite long and not as catchy. =p

  • @dx80cruiser Actually, it would be She-Woman, not "She-Women"

  • BY THE POWER OF GAY-SKULL!!! I GOT'A THE POWER!!

  • OMG i was mad about she ra when i was little i had the crystal castle set and everything, i still got to this day over 20 years later, one of my many favourite things from the 80's

  • What a great life that must be. Having a voice that echoes no matter where you are, riding around on a giant tiger all day and smashing people's faces at will.

  • @SpringfieldGarand HAHAHA That is the most awesome description of a He-Man episode.. I laughed to hard at that

  • @SpringfieldGarand made my day

  • He-Man's hot - nuff said.

  • YOU GOTTO LOVETHIS SHIT

  • sards of deith? shera and he man!

  • Before there was Hercules and Xena, there was He-Man and She-Ra.

  • @ChrisCa1601

    He-Man and She-Ra = the 80's.

Hercules and Xena = like ancient greece or something,

anyway was way erlier than the 80's those 2.

  • @FemtioFem Well not quite right, Hercules=ancient Greek, Xena =90's. So She-ra is earlier :P

  • @flyingVesp Xena was "invented" for the show as you say.

I was thinking more of the time period the story was set in tho. =3

  • @FemtioFem Umm, just no, lol. There was no Lucy Lawless in ancient Greece... or something.

  • @JiminyKracker

Well yeah! the actor was actually at New Zeeland.

But Dolph was on Eternia for reals.(jk)

  • @FemtioFem lol :D

  • @ChrisCa1601 You're off by a couple thousand years buddy.

  • It always bugged me that the toon men has no body hair.

  • @Markel1970A

Man at arms and king Randor could possibly be hairy. =p

    Beastman is for sure. xD

  • @FemtioFem Beastman is a given. I meant He-Man.

  • I don't get it so the gay tiger becomes cool and the gay horse becomes gayer?

  • she-ra's transformation ray sounds and looks like jizz

  • as a child of the 80's "epic" is not my lingo... but damn.... no other word comes to mind. fuckin EPIC.

  • 27 years later and this still gives me goosebumps!

  • I remember this episode

  • Adam's could be shorter... "Power me up!"

She Ra's could be longer... "By the power invested by the stars above the Castle Greyskull, I shall claim the power that is within thee to fight against the forces of evil and protect all of Eternia as long as I live!"

  • yeah she-ra's transformation is prettier and longer cause the show was meant for girls. So everything had to have more color.

  • @exetania Thats true.^^

They also put she-ra show with more forest and flowers.

(well saw like 2 eps over 20 years ago but remember seeing more of that)

Then theres that pony.....srry stallion I meant. =p

  • @FemtioFem

Spirit was totally awesome though. he was way more bad ass than Cringer. though Battlecat was more hardcore than Swiftwing, i guess Swiftwing heard what happens if a horse breaks its leg.

  • @exetania I thought they were just alluding to women taking longer to get ready than men ;)

  • I like how they managed to merge the 2 songs together so it crossed from one to the other..........I can't remember what it is called but you can merge two different songs into a seemless stream...with out missing a beat so you go from one song into the next with out stoping.

  • this would be the greatest drag performance known to man...and I have every intention of doing it some day. ;-)

  • I wonder what would have happened if He-man used She-ra's sword and She-ra used He-man's sword, would it be then that Prince Adam becomes: "He-Ra" and Princess Adora then becomes "She-Man?" What do you think? Take care! I would love it if someone out there can upload a video of Princess Adora using Prince Adam's sword and he using his sister's sword and see what happens afterwards. That would be very interesting! What does any of you think? (-:

  • what the did they do to that poor alien tiger?

  • these cartoons where cool. why don`t they make them like this now

  • He-man Transformation has a Rockin Them Song and She-Ra's Got a Funk to it.

  • she -ra sounds like she male

  • @tsukashigiro Whether you mean her voice

or name, I would say, no not really! lol

  • @tsukashigiro She-Man.

    Lawl!

  • When the teacher asked you in School, "what you want to be when you grow up". I told em, "He-Man". Better watch your credit card with She-Ra, and it always takes forever for her to transform to.

  • lol! Hahahahahaha! Can you even think of something more stupid than this! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol !!!!!!!

  • Hahaha! Ah yes, memories (^^). Whether you look at to it now as gay or whatever, everybody would agree that its still very much catchy up to this time. Cartoons back then were really cheesy YET awesome! >=D

  • I like this I just seen this on retro TV over the weekend

  • Haha!! The whole time while He-Man was saying "I have the power," and Cringer was saying "d-d-double trouble", and became Battle Cat. She-Ra was just standing there looking at her sword.

  • Can you get a more supercharged testosterone name than HE-MAN.

  • @ch33z3yb0y Tough bollocks.

  • Totally awesome, this takes me back =]

  • I LOVE a good transformation team-up!

  • you almost made me cry you assholes.... God damn best cartoons ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why does shera have a better transformation?

  • @cracktroop75 Well they made he-man first

and when they created she-ra later on they added stuff.

Might possibly be out of sentimentality from looking at he-man as kid,

    but I like the he-man 1 better.

  • @cracktroop75 SHES A DIVA

  • @cracktroop75

  • @cracktroop75 She-rules!Well, the writer was actually a feminist...

  • @cracktroop75 you crazy he man's is waaaaayyyyyy better.

  • @cracktroop75 Do you know the winx club? The clothing got more advaced because of looking back they think : MORE DETAILS TO ENTERTAIN THE CROWD!

  • @cracktroop75 Well, they didn't show He-man's full transformation sequence here.

  • @cracktroop75 Hers is better (she gets her power from both Castle Grayskull and the Crystal Castle)...but, you can't really judge it using this. Almost all of Adam / He-man's transformation is not even shown here.

  • @ReuWil You're wrong on that. Like He-Man, She-Ra's power came only from Grayskull. The background changes to Crystal Castle since her series is set mainly on Etheria, where that castle is located, whereas He-Man's adventures are mainly on Eternia, where Grayskull is located.

  • @startounz By that logic there would be no reason for Grayskull to appear at all if the castles appearing in transformation sequences have to do with location rather than powers...but the transformation sequences have to do with drawing on powers, not location. She also a crystal embedded in her Sword of Protection which He-man does not have in his, and it illuminates brightly in an explosion-like sequence when the Crystal Castle part of the sequence appears.

  • @ReuWil Fantastic explanation.

  • @ReuWil , True She-ra has a Crystal on her sword but the sword and powers come from Grayskull not the Crystal Castle. the Crystal is like a mini portal for She-ra to draw the power from Grayskull. I don't recall them explaining what the Crystal Castle has to do with She-ra aside from protecting the Castle.

  • @cracktroop75 she's awesome :3

  • @cracktroop75 she doesnt have a better one just a longer transformation, like a typical woman she takes alot longer to get ready :-)

  • @Dimeyesshortlashes

    ahahhaahaha great.. XD

  • @Dimeyesshortlashes that's a real rude thing to say lol. I take offense to that! I'm a tomboy and still take longer but that doesn't mean we waste time or anything, we just look better when we finish.

  • They made She-ra's longer and flashier to appeal to young girls...if you look at it you will notice it is also more colorful then He-mans.

  • @cracktroop75 Imagine He-Man's transformation as the original and She-Ra adapating it. It's obvious her power is more magical while He-Man's is based more on 'power'.

  • @cracktroop75 Women are flashier about everything they do. =P

  • @cracktroop75 This movie was the beginning of She-Ra and as such she is the primary character. It's basically to put She-Ra over.

  • So He-Man invokes the "Power" of Grey skull whilst She-ra invokes the "Honour." Seems like early gender stereotyping to me lol. Ah well, speaking as a 30 year old - we survived watching this as children of the 80's. No real harm done ;)

  • I HAVE THE POWER!!!

  • I love it how She-ra's just She-ra but He-man has the power, lol.

  • I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I started to tear up watching this. What?! Good times.

  • @leo1277 hehehhe. :) He-Man and She-Ra were dope.

  • "This looks like d-double trouble!" then "RAWH!!!!!" Funny!

  • Now I'm ready to kick ass after watchin that lmao !!!! This is the best cartoon ever made!!!

  • @Xzavierable i have to agree this is the best cartoon ever made

  • I love the She-Ra music.

  • @arro253- same here! very fab!

  • i just love how the song switches from he man's theme to she ra's and vice versa!

  • @VocalRuns , I agree I like how the blended the music between the two of them as they changed. it was very well done.

  • So basically She-Ra was a female counterpart to He-man! Same powers but different gender.

  • @Markel1970A they are long lost twins.

  • scary battlecat or pink unicorn

  • Classic,i love em both !

  • Brings back such memories

  • Brings back such memories

  • Brings back such memories

  • Bravestarr when he uses Strength of the Bear is stronger than both of them. And, hes faster than them too with Speed of the Puma.

  • i love this part.

  • shes not as strong as he-man - shes the most powerful woman in the universe, he's the most powerful man. men are stronger than women. thats why she has all the other ablilities - to balance it.

  • ace i love Cringer

  • cut & paste transformations! geee hate the breaks

  • You could do a better job mixing both transformations with your average computer, today. Ahaha... still, greatness.

  • It been even MORE AWESOME if it went split-screen, where they started & finished the transformations at the same time! :-)

  • He-Man's morph is SO much better.

  • Don't be a male chauvinist. :D

  • Yes, because acknowledging that a man can actually do something better than a women is being a chauvinist.

  • Exactly my point.

  • not to mention she's as strong as He-Man and she's even more Agile then him, the 1 thing I have seen He-man do that she didn't..is have super speed, i'd also like to believe He-Man is stronger.....also He-Man has the ability to Open castle Gray skull as he is the official Guardian,She-Ra does not.

yay im reliving my childhood!! XD

  • they made SHE-RA ridiculously powerful...she can heal{to the point that if your dying she can bring you back},she can turn her sword into anything she wants and she has Aquaman communication abilities with animals.

  • Rox!

    Brazilian Version is the Best!

  • I just orgasmed.

  • In my chanell? =O

Hey! I'm the 1 who has to clean up. Y_Y

  • @Sage80

    You mean, climaxed..... right?

  • ret pally and arms warrior/hunter combo

  • bad pixels and video image on this one. But awesome cartoon

  • FUCKING EPIC!!!

  • dudes look up ...cobra island rave 1&2,,, gringo is da best

  • what is that thing in she-ra's tranformation background? She starts off with Castle Grayskull but then something else appears?

  • it's the Crystal Castle where Light Hope resides

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg!!!

i havent seen this since i was like 6.

    lol

  • got i have got those goose bumps from childhood.

    thanks for the great memorys

  • LOL so do I

  • I think cats are a lot more "manly". A wolf could hurt me badly if I would get attacked by 1, I would however have good chances to survive and kill the wolf. If same size cat as a wolf I would be his breakfust, no chance for survival. Cats are a lot more scary than any ol' dog... Pinnacle of manliness in animal world I think would be a lion. I think cringer suits well as scaredy cat for the show and becomes "manly" when geared up as battlecat.
  • :) muito bom (very nice) obrigado (tanks)
