I never voted for a president because of his race. To the contrary, I voted for Obama just to ensure that Sarah Palin didn't get anywhere near the Oval Office. I never voted for a president because of his race. To the contrary, I voted for Obama just to ensure that Sarah Palin didn't get anywhere near the Oval Office. I knew he would be mediocre at best, but I figured it would at least show that the US could indeed elect a black president. That's about the only good thing that came out of it. If you look at his record, he's mediocre at best. But how many blacks do you think will vote for Obama again just because he's black? PLENTY.

I do think Obama is a disappointment, not that I had much faith in yet another politician talking about "change" All politicians say that and nothing changes. Obama didn't get the troops out any earlier. In fact, they left Iraq the very same day that George Bush said they would leave. It's called a time table, and once Obama was president he had to deal with reality not campaign rhetoric.
