If you would drive it standard rather than auto, you could actually get sideways. I wish I could post my videos, but I use the PS2. I use the same Subaru :)
Is everyone telling me I could try harder and possibly clock a low 2m30s flying lap failing to notice the car doesn't move for the first 7 or 8 seconds of the clip? The standing lap is more like 2m27s and the flying lap is 2m22 or so. The rally sections of GT are about traction and accuracy - meaningless sliding and drifting cost entry and exit speed, and give less throttle and speed consistency in the corner itself.
That's some good driving... but, to be honest, to be truly fast, you gotta slide.
I saw this video of Ken Block driving, and it changed the way I drive off road. Not only in GT4, but in every game:
watch?v=HQ7R_buZPSo
Turn in, step on the brakes as it slides, then nail the throttle to get it sliding totally sideways around the corner, with minimal steering input... that's how I roll xD
But however you want to drive, man, everyone's different :)
Good control with the car but u couldve done better, my best time around that course on a one lap scale is 2min:31sec with that car. if u got the car to drift at high speed around some of the larger circular corners like on 0:17-0:20 or 0:40 instead of relying on the brakes 2 keep u on the road u might've got a better time but otherwise good job.
