I live in Omaha where he's from. The house he grew up in is a block away from my apartment. I always see him around, like at the coffee shop in midtown or someplace random like the hair salon. haha. It's weird that he's so famous in bigger cities because here, no one really ever treats him like he is. Lol. He seems quite humble and down to earth considering his success and the impact that his music has had on other artists.

I've got a feeling that the quote from All the Lights in the Windows is referring to Jesus walking on water. It's hard to make judgments about his personal life based on his music because it's not necessarily autobiographical. Songs like Padriac my Prince are fictitious and he uses allegory, metaphor, and artistic license to create unique songs, like a writer of novels would.

A lot of people project ideas of who he is and what he does, but in the end he's just another person making their way.

Oh I couldn't agree more. I was expressing my awe over his charisma which I felt so strongly in this interview, NOT the awe over a supposed character trait of his. That's what imo Conor is trying to say in the line I quoted: Jesus was so charismatic that people believed certain things about him ("magic" stuff etc.;)). Conor is so charismatic that people believe to know certain things about him (good person etc.) and love him. What kind of man he really is - I'd be the last person to know.
