  • Masked avengers. Kuo chi name was Cow Yow

  • R.I.P .. alexander fu cheng..

  • Classic Sat. morning kung fu action from the Shaw Bros.

  • Since childhood, I've always HATED when two "good guys" team up to fight one bad guy.

I call those "good guys" just punks.

I always root for the good guys, but NOT when it's two of them on one bad guy.

    I hate that crap.

  • @vassephardi These bad guys have superior kung fu and sword skills. Sometimes it takes two good guys to beat him. If not, he kills them both and many other good people.

  • I'm not going to tell you "Oh, all modern Kung Fu sucks" because that's just not true. There have been numerous great, well choreographed and written flicks since the golden age.

But it's called "the Golden Age" for a reason. Look at this! This speed, this precision! None of the brutality (fun as it may be) of modern flicks, nor the wires or any of that shit. Just men who reached a level in the physical arts we can only dream of, going at it in their prime. This is what it's all about...

  • Wow! I thought that I saw all of the Shaw Brothers movies, but I missed this one. I need to see the whole thing

  • Well yall know The Venoms were in maaaaad movies together....and Alexander..the one she tells all te dragon stuff to...they were THE BOMB!!

  • AHHHH back in the day when it was cool to stay home on a Saturday afternoon.Fuck Dancing With The Stars those pairings of fighters had REAL RHYTHM

  • Que des Techniques de Combat!!!!

    Admirez un peu

  • these guys are true legends...the Shaw brothers were making films the way some folks make comics or tell stories at a dinner party...they were making 5 to 8..maybe even 12 movies at 1 time...they knew the scenes BY HEART......i stress this because to see all these movies shows you real passion for an art we barely see anymore

  • Dragon Dancing Lion Leaping Tiger Crouching

  • lmao i love it how a random just introduces himself for a brief moment and then starts fighting randomly and with all the zooming as well

  • Does any1 no wat Kung Fu movie played on hbo alot in 2005 or 2006, all I remember is that some old dude got poisoned with bow n arrows

  • @popsjnr since you seem to know them so well is there any chance you could tell me which ones are the best ?

  • @popsjnr So basically you like The Venoms and Gordon Liu... Well I can understand that...

But you forgot Shaolin Temple 3, Clan of the White Lotus, PRODIGAL SON ( My Person favorite ), Magnificent Butcher, Warriors Two... Or what about Heroes of the East?!

  • @fonz1231 oh yea man lu feng is one character no matter what he dresses up in u know its him and besides shaw fans can name the guys off the bat

  • This is one of the best fight scenes in a Shaw Brothers movie.

I especially like the fight between the Halberd axe and the Iron palm blades, those guys are fast.

  • I came here for archery of the brave variety. So disappointing.

  • Hey, nothing beats the SuperNinja finale, Wai Man Chan vs. Cheng Tien Chi, the 5 Element Ninjas - that was truly an awesome display of martial arts

  • That is one tight fight. Very good!! Just another classic from Shaw. Loved it!

  • Damn. Both clans were good. They should had teamed up to fight against the Manchu invasion. It's a shame they died that way, so much in vain -___-

  • Epic sound effects.

  • this is truly a good fight scene...i notice Lo Mang never fight with a weapon in any of the other movies i seen him in.

  • @Wickedthtz , Lo Mang used a weapon in Shoalin Rescuers, another classic Venom movie.

I think out of all of them, only Kuo Chui has never played the villain.

  • @canesrule Come to think of it,I don't think he has.

  • amazing

  • hahaha funnay my name is shaw and i used to watch this i think i was named after this ;)

    cuz i loved kung fu!!

  • supreme weaponry

  • Watching these guys fight makes me want to flex my muscles and kick some ass!!!!!!

  • i can hear the old origiginal sound effects :D

  • Kuo Chui is the best one ever!!!

  • No one can get with my Favorite venom which is Kuo Chui #4 Lizard!!

  • Sometimes I fight with my friends like this. We call its kung fu terets because you never know whats going to comeout.

  • First time I seen #4 dressed up in this way .....

  • The guy in the cape at the start is all like "THIS ! IS! CHINAAAA!!"

  • Is this the Region 3 version??

  • I did a yojimbo edit I need to do shaw brothers next. Love these. Also did shaollin vs llama edit

  • this is on of the best weapon fights i've seen

  • Thats not the only film with lo mang & fu sheng fight each other they do it again in ten tigers of kwantung & lifes gambles but the are fighting with knives in that one

  • Never thought I'd see the day when Fu Sheng fought Lo Mang!

  • That was so cool.

  • That guy in black fighting Lu Feng at 3:29 did a somersault then landed in splits. Amazing! This was what a liked about Shaw bros films, all the fighters good or bad had great on-screen acrobatic fighting skills.

  • Most insane kung- fu battle i've had the chance to see. There's nothing like classics Shaw bruvs.

  • The guys who played cheif #2 in Masked Avengers gets busy from 2:30 to 3:00. He impressed the hell out of me with his fight with Kou Chui in that one and here against Lu Feng, he's brilliant. That dude's awesome. That split he did's insane.

Also the split by the dude fighting Chang at the 3:30 mark is ridiculous.

Of course, the 2 best hand to hand guys in the Shaw brothers camp, Lo Mang and Fu Sheng getting down. There fight is breathtaking to watch.

Might be the best Venom fight!

  • I agree with you broth. Anyone good nuff to pull off a great screen weapons fight with Lu Feng ( apart Kuo Chui and Chang Sheng) is that actor. I've seen his face in many Shaw's classics but I still don't know his name.

  • one i never saw b4..and why i don't know....(maybe cause of the subtitling...they can't show that on ch 5 i guess)

  • Wicked flick!!!

  • I recognize most of the venoms in this film but is there any1 who can tell me the name of the tall actor who's fighting with the long hoe? ( 1:56)

  • Fantastic fight scene! One of the most gorgeous fights I've ever seen. Thanks!

  • I got this one in my collection of I don't know how many lol

  • wAS THAT TOAD WITH THE BEARD, THAT MY MAN, i NEVER SEEN INTERNAL STRENGTH TRAINING LIKE HIS BEFORE!

  • yeah thats #5 - Lo Mang

  • @5thYang thats lu feng the centepede from five deadly venoms not lo meng lo mengs nose is bigger

  • @5thYang thats lu feng the centepede from five deadly venoms not lo meng lo mengs nose is

    bigger

  • @hotscman Awwwwwwww, a man who know's his characters! i was thinking the same thing!!!!!

  • @kunsura guy with the beard was #1 centipede

  • @kunsura What's the name of the movie in which he plays a guy named Cow Yow or Kao Yow or something like that? I saw it as a kid years ago and I've been looking for it for a while now.

  • AWSOME MOVIE!!!!!!YAHOO

  • ahh.. they dont make them like this anymore. CLASSIC!

  • It just dosen't get any better than shaw bros.

  • Hmm, come to my house so we can practice our fight, then meet us in the forest, hmm, you wear white, we will wear black, hmm.

  • watch out HE HAS A FAN!

  • I'd beat these guys stupid. Repentent arrogant dragon my ass.

  • Fight with a paper fan? Me thinks he got last dibbs from the weapons rack! HA! Gonna give his opponent a paper cut?

  • ROFLMFAO indeed.. XD

  • Last dibs on the weapons rack...lol, funny comment but anything can be a weapon...Did you know the first weapons were farmind tools and benches?

even a qtip jammed in the right place can kill...

  • That fan is used to keep in front of your opponents face so he cant see whats coming when he gets the SHYT STABBED OUTTA EM.

  • Couldn't the guys in black have been cut, sliced, stabbed any where (on their bodies) and died, just the same?

  • you BLINK ... you DIE!

  • I tell you what. It sure don't pay to be a Yuen family member in any of these movies, lol. Spearman, Five Venoms, they all get offed. Great movies though.

  • I taught Lo Mang everything he knows! =D j/k!

what a great fight scene! excellent post!

  • For nearly 30 yrs, I've been searching for the Shaw Brother's film called, "Revenge Of The Corpse". Does anyone on the face of Planet Earth have this film? Where can I go to find this film? I'ld like to see the film once more before my lifetime ends.

  • IMO... this has gotta be Shaw Brothers' best finale. 10 min battle, extremely complicated fighting sets with long takes, and a variety of weapons. AWESOME!!

  • Don't forget the Martial Club and Legendary Weapons of Kung Fu finale.

  • It's the name of the asian movie production company owned by Sir Run Run Shaw.

  • WOW! Excellent. Shaw Brothers is the best.

  • That was niiiice!!!!

  • I respect shaw brothers, actors had skills (not like today)

  • jeez that was awesome!!!!

  • many of the venoms(like Lu Feng and Kuo chi) have trained in the Peking Opera and in Kung fu styles

  • Actually, only 3 - Lu Feng, Kuo Chui and Chiang Sheng, have Peking Opera backgrounds. As for the others, Sun Chien trained in Tae Kwon Do, Lo Mang, Mantis Boxing, and Wei Pai (#2 Snake) trained in, I believe, Wing Chun.

  • I'm not sure but, wasn't one of the guys in the black and red Chu Ker? I'm pretty sure he was trained in Taiwanese Opera style.

  • Perhaps it was, but Chu Ker wasn't one of the Venoms.

  • 10 minutes of straight up fighting!! This is awesome!

  • Awesome stuff, they dont do it like they use to ehh fellas..too bad.

  • Shaw Brothers rule this is sick!!!!

  • Lo Mang is always one of the first to die in all the venom flicks and the most liked.

  • Lo Mang Friggin Rules!!!!!!!! too bad they gotta kill him off so damn much! great post!

  • kungfumoviesclub com

  • Geez...some of the most complex choreography I have ever seen, though I only saw like 3 movies from shaw brothers ...more pleaseeeee!!!^^

  • well then check out 8 diagram pole fighter final scene with Gordon Liu, that's the most complex choreography I've ever seen in kung-fu flick.

  • big fan of alexander fu sheng!

  • Thanks for sharing . Great fighting performance. ^_^
