ok this might be a dumb question...but the night vision seems really good, however can you tell if the baby is breathing or not...my husband sets up his iphone at night and turns on skype and uses that as a moniter but the picture is so bad I cant tell if shes breathing and since im a new mom that is my biggest thing!!!! TYIA awesome vid :)

"Sleep Mode".. does this mean the camera/screen can be off, but you can see the amount of noise the baby is making?

Did you ever try out the skype connection? I was able to get it to work without much hassle except that we can only see the top 50% of the screen. I don't know how to describe it but if you look at the monitor itself, you see the full picture, but if you look at it through skype (or MSN, or any web cam software) you will only see the top 50% of the picture that you'd see on the monitor.

We also don't hear any sound through skype. The monitor is good but the skype function seems half-baked.

After immense research I decided to purchase this monitor. I was skeptical, due to the fact I wasn't able to test it prior to purchasing. This review helped reassure my decision. So, with all that said, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Purchased it from amazon for $169-free shipping. I've looked at products in the $200-$300 range and didn't compare. I would like to know if we can move the camera's direction or zoom (for example to the crib to the all room) from the receiver without doing it manually in the room of the baby.

@geraldassimo -It does not have a pan option to scan the room, but does have a very crisp and clear 2x zoom. You zoom directly from the hand held monitor screen. Very easy to use. I have our camera set up on a corner wall in our 12x14 nursery and can see the entire room. I use the zoom to see my daughter in her crib.
