I don't think so, this game is based on the timeline from Urza's Legacy to the Scourge expansion. Even Mirrodin haven't been made yet.

@kelmorian178 Well, i am not sure about Mirrodin not existing in the timeline then.

Mirrodin is the plane created by Karn, and he has been a story character since the Weatherlight card set.

Why am i unsure? I don`t know if he started as a Planeswalker (power-wise) but if he did, then he had already created Mirrodin before ever even joining the Weatherlight crew on their quest to rescue Sisay from Volrath.

Dude, I went online recently on my Xbox (I use the Xbox version, but don't have a Gold account anymore - it ran out by now). Last time I checked online, nobody was playing. Made me sad, I loved online play. Once, I got annoyed with a Black duelist... and Biorythmed myself with no creatures under my control.

If you think "damn this game sucks!" Give it a chance. yes the art is not the best and the storyline is kinda strange but when you get through the quest your ready for online play...or are you? The quest was built for online play in my opinion. When you get online you feel like you can beat anyone after beating on the computer. But then you come up against me or some other veteran. Trust me, this game kicks ass online!!!!

It's cool that you like this version of magic but never never, NEVER put the card version down in anyway. Magic the Gathering is one of the best games ever! and without it we wouldn't even have Battlegrounds. After i played battlegrounds i went out and bought some magic cards and understood it just fine :)

Who ever even bothered comparing Yu-Gi-Oh to magic should go to hell. Additionally Magic was orginally played in a Role Playing kind of way where you take the role of a magician (hence the games are the way they are).

I like this game. One thing I didn't like though it's that you don't have too many spells to use and you can only summon 5 monsters per player.

Dude. I love this game. Didn't notice they used Dark Banishing before. Rockin'. I actually thought the story was pretty good all things considered, because they had to use name characters without messing up the Magic stories that badly, you know? Anyway, you're right. It is a fun game.
