Georgia was founded as a penal colony... there are 50,000 people in Georgia prisons today, year after year after year. You won't see this in downtown Atlanta. Why? Because these prisons are hidden out of site all across Georgia, at the end of back country roads near tiny podunk towns out in the middle of nowhere. Out of public sight, out of public mind, because if the public did see them they would raise bloody hell about the conditions inside of them.
That Bank Of America tower is probably one of the most legendary landmarks of America. And is by far the best building In Atlanta. People just can't film atlanta without gettin a shot of that tower.
downtown is great but i prefer the country side of atlanta, it is beautiful.

There is no greater feeling than being 2 miles from Atlanta and seeing the skyline in the distance. It is wonderful!
