Wow Binnyman...I feel like I just struck gold! Surely I missed something in the 70's lol. Thanks for the missing peace :-) This is what the internet is for, been listening to Mr. Phil Manzanera all morning!
@rodjanuary This should be the great Phil Manzanera on guitar, although Neil Hubbard was also on this album. However, the video of this song clearly shows Manzanera. If you've never heard 'Diamond Head', I highly recommend it !!! Peace:-)
Some of us remember this amazing tune loooonnngg before 'Lost in Translation':) I've never seen that move but I'm proud to say I remember the year this came out....VIVIDLY! :)
@jlalewicz Same here and i got to hear this great song once again when GTA: Vice city was released. Man i was so impressed and appreciative about rockstar's taste in music. There's plenty more classics on that radio station where this came from.
had the melody for a few months in my head. was trying to search for it but without the right lyrics it was just impossible. i suddenly had 2 words on my mind: "more than". i couldnt believe that searching for those words lead me to this song.. and it was the first link! ok that was 1 earworm.. another 104 to find.. busy busy
The fact people can't believe it isn't autotune just shows how disconnected people these days are from the fact that there really were some people that could sing that well! Also, this sounds nothing like autotune...80's reverb isn't autotune!
this song drums up so many feelings for me its remarkable, I am an emotional mess now with the last strains of this glorious melody still echoing through my tiny apartment
This song and many others made Vice City one of my favorite games; and this song and Scarlett Johansson made Lost in Translation one of my favorite movies.
@HAIOR34CH That's not AutoTune dipshit. AutoTune wasn't invented yet. It was pioneered in the 1990's by Antares Audio and first used in 1998. Roxy's using a standard studio sound board. Look it up and take your offensive bullshit somewhere else.
@bill291212 I do not know what movie they are talking about it must have passed in my teens, but what I miss is the singers and songs in this category
must see that film! songs enough on its own, the pic of Brian Ferry at 1.33 in the video has an uncannilly identical look to someone i know! spooky?
Someone played this song when I graduated from Middle School. Kind of sad. I lost so many friends that day. Sometimes, I WANT to feel sad but can't becasue my life isn't that bad. That's gay. I wish sometimes that I could just kill myself. And end the pain of living.
