I have to be honest with you, neither one is really talented at all, even compared to other street performers in the park. They dress up like Game Of Thrones and play mediocre music. They are merely something "interesting" for tourists to look at.

Guys need a permit to perform. They can easily contact the nyc parks dept. and pay for one. Thing is, when they perform, they attract a very large audience which can be a safety issue. Atmost he was issued a summonse and released.

I use to hang out at the fountain in the late 60's and 70's. This is nothing copared to back then . nobody got arrested unless you were dealing hard drugs.

What the heck were they arrested for??! They weren't hurting anyone. I like Thoth. I think he's a very talented guy, and so is the young lady performing with him.

New York is lucky to have people like this performing in your parks. In all but a few parks here all we have are junkies laying under the bridges and crackheads that'll shank you for a few bucks.

My guess is that he was arrested for not having an event permit (I heard that any gathering of 25 or more people in Central Park including spectators needs to have a permit). It is my understanding that NYPD is very lax on enforcing this rule unless someone else has paid the permit to reserve the space.

Looking at how they guy over Thoths right shoulder around 1:13 is dressed, I suspect that a wedding party reserved the space and for one reason or another Thoth refused to respect the permit.
