Greece problems aren't the result of world-wide plan. We 've been poor(er) before and we made it. But back then, the people had guts! They traveled thousand miles to America, went to work in German factories or Belgian mines. They had a desire to work and live! All we do now is complain that we don't earn enough while we enjoy our coffee and dream of becoming civil servants. Wake up people. The actual facts for Greece are :
1. We have a public sector that can't account the number of its employees. Most think that it is close to 800.000 (1/10th of the population!). Do we get value for money from them?hmmm...
2. For many years we kept/keep public companies that lost outrageous amounts of money and didn't provide what we payed them. (O.A, ΔΕΗ, ΟΤΕ etc).

I will end pointing that 1.5 million people from Eastern countries (ex-soviet hell-holes) moved to UK and earn good wages. They support themselves and transfer money back to their countries, thus revitalizing their local economy. We did the same back in 60-70s when we had the "greek-miracle". Should I say that these countries don't have the economic problems we are facing? Unfortunately today Greeks are blinded by the dream of becoming a civil servant and lost all dreams of becoming more.
