  • Along with bomb dissarment, I think this was one of the hardest jobs to complete. Giving the eulogy of your 3rd brother to die way to young, and knowing you are the last.

  • CNN prank called bobby kennedy's daughter on live TV. what the hell?

  • It is the lack of men like JFK RFK and Teddy Kennedy that this world is the state it is in today. We no longer have great leader like Thatcher, Reagan, Kennedy, FDR, Howard. Now we have what I call "termers" men and women that are only there to win the next term. Gone that day that a politician stood for a cause and stood up for the world and had the guts to follow it out.

  • Yes the good don't die young. They live forever in our hearts. =)

  • RFK lives

  • Utterly inspirational everytime I here. What great countrymen the Kennedy's were.

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • Teddy should have run this country. For the better of man.

  • It speaks to your soul. Thank you for putting this together. =)

  • One of my favorites!

  • This video is a call on all of us to be in world that hands down tougher scrutiny in doses like we've never seen. People are crucified for errors of social media, misquoted, misrepresented, and fingered as terrorists and communists to a degree I think many thought could not be repeated after Sen McCarthy. That is why it is all the more important for us to have honest voices and cool heads in the face of injustice. Don't be afraid to be what you need to be, what WE need you to be.

  • @MickyG4444 so true thank you for that MickyG4444 I so needed to see what you have written. And to know that I am not alone I feel the same way.

  • When did we settle for the current Fox News nutjobs running our congress? We should demand better.

  • i have been listening to this for a few years now , am amazed still each time i hear it, can politicain be honest , i find the honesty in this speech, i feel the words in this speech can trancend in all natiionalites and walks of life, it is truely a work of wonder, sadly deilieverd like most of the best ideals of humanity it comes at a time of loss and saddness .

  • Everyday...I tell myself, "Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of society. Moral Courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, most vital quality, for those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change." Standing alone doesn't mean failure...

  • @crusader037972 That's a great quote. Did Bobby Kennedy say that? Inspiring.

  • This and the dream shall never shall are the two greatest speeches of all time.

  • I just came across this looking up rfk, and would like to say im a 28 yr old unemployed irishman that didnt buy a range rover or an over inflated house, what i would like to say is this speech should not be labelled as an eulogy speech but as a mandate given to the goverment of any country that wants to take the pride of society over economy. cheers. just a comment, nothing more.

  • we need this now more than ever

  • bill hicks life is just a ride ;D

  • This brings me to my knees everytime I hear it. Here, 43 year later, it still resonates so loudly...

  • This brings me to my knees everytime I hear. Here, 43 year later, it still resonates so loudly...

  • Wow, we sure need more visionaries in our government. What a sad state of affairs today

  • The Kennedy family sacrificed a lot for the USA. Lost a brother in war, lost 2 more brothers through untimely assassinations.

  • "'Takes more than guns to kill a man'" said Joe, "'I never died'"--"Joe Hill" This generation relives the spirit of JFK, RFK and Teddy. IT WILL HAPPEN! Love will triumph over evil in this world! Tea Party is destined to destroy itself!

  • really incredible

  • I am young, and I am from a generation where our place in life seems to be the most important thing. That is what I see everyday. It makes me sad. As Hemingway said, "We are all A Lost Generation..." But, we do not have to be. This video shows us why we shouldn't It is the hardest thing to step forward and take responsibility....but if we do...if we can? Well, the world can change as we do!

  • Does anyone know what music is playing?

  • @DylanSmeaton Red Glowing Dust - CCP Jon Hallur

It's actually from a videogame called "Eve Online"

  • 6:26...made me tear up.

  • if michele bachmann becomes president please jack rise from the grave and strike her down we need these men now more then ever rip to the only real politions wev'e ever had god i miss them

  • This Evil LBJ statement I believe refers to the murder of JFK

"It is the Melancholy law of human societies to be compeled sometimes to chose a great evil in order to ward off a greater evil"

  • If RFK had been elected, would we have delayed our withdrawal from Vietnam? Would Watergate ever have happened? If Watergate had never happened, would we have elected Carter?

  • Nothing stirs me more to stand up and do something against the many things that are wrong and can be improved in our country than these speeches, both his and the man who he is eulogizing. Whenever I think that things are too far beyond our reach to fix, I remember these men, and what they stood for. Decades on, and it still gives us hope...that is their gift to us.

  • so very touching, so very through, so many years ago, so very far away from modern society, so bloody shame

  • Your JFK,RFK,EMK and our beloved NDP Jack Layton one in the same did all for the poor, alienated, working man ect..All fine men!! Taken by God to soon and leaves us all who loved them asking WTF? and why God! why! anytime a true careing politician comes fourth to serve and offer so much good change they get cut down...

  • This is spin-tingling. Twenty-four people have no soul, feeling, or heart.

  • Teddys words are enough.. not sure we need the music in the backround..

  • All of the Kennedy brothers died in service of their country. They are my inspiration, and I feel proud to be an American because of the service they performed for America.

  • what is the music playing? I have heard it somewhere before...

  • @crusader037972 It's the original score, titled "Red Glowing Dust," from the PC game EVE: Online

  • Our country needs a Bobby Kennedy, now, more than ever.

  • No one can send a tiny ripple of hope anymore...we need a miracle.

  • We are all screwed..just learn to live with it!

  • To me it doesn't matter what people might think of Ted Kennedy! This is the FINEST and MOST MOVING speech that he ever made. And the words still ring true TODAY!!

  • @bearfleenor01 The words are RFK's.

  • when I feel down, I listen to this...

  • What a pity America has not had another Catholic president who can truly lead the world to a vision larger of itself, to a vision of life, of community, of compassion and of love for each other, especially those who are less fortunate than ourselves. May thy kingdom come, oh God.

  • Teddy had 3 older brothers... all died serving their country. he served his state of mass. from the time of JFKs presidency till the day he died. people who say he was this or that are ignorant. he could have been a billionaire and destroyed the environment, made his workers work below poverty lines but instead he fought for the little guy for over 45yrs of his life. god bless this family... hopefully we will fight back against the wall st/ banking elite controlled gov and live in peace

  • So haunting. I am crying uncontrollably. Such intense memories. Like it was yesterday.

  • 24 people are those messing up the world., cant see beyond differences and think of an inspirational speech of what has gone wrong in our world.

  • @isaacmn2002 yep...they are called the Bilderberg group...welcome to the NWO

  • How badly do we miss him and his brother Jack.

  • You are still inspiring people to this day. Through no action of my own, I was born in a great country and into a great family. I really have been given endless opportunities. Your laying that guilt at my feet is very inspiring and very appropriate.

Please rest in peace with your brothers.

  • This is such a beautiful tribute, it made me cry. You did a wonderful job. As Adlai Stevenson said about Jack, "I will mourn his death till the day of my own". That is true for me about JFK & RFK. I will never get over it.

  • The devolution from Robert Kennedy to Sarah Palin is explained by:

    (1) the romanticized success of Ronald Regan

    (2) Fox News

Americans believe that, not only is being "the 'average Joe' with common sense" good enough to be President, but also that is the preferred qualification. Ivy Leaguers are "elitists", "out of touch", and belittle "real Americans".

Citizens in Japan, France, etc. logically want the smartest guys to be in-charge. But not the Americans...

  • Thumbs up if your name is Chantizzle and an amazing person told you to watch this video.

  • @shawnbrennan1 then don't watch the Eulogy of a Kennedy... Just leave. We don't want nor need somebody preaching to us about how bad the Kennedy's "were". God knows you are nothing noteworthy on this Earth so why should your opinion matter to anybody...

  • anyone know the song?

  • @pistonfan2010 its an eve song call "red glowing dust"

  • @aksstar Hows this for note worthy...Mind your fuckin business....(said with all due respect)

  • @shawnbrennan1 No i don't think so... if you have a million dollars settled on you when you're nine years old, (Bearing in mind this was 1926) and you're in line to a massive fortune, I really don't think you'd waste your time in politics unless you really cared about it. They had enough status from their father as it was- did they need any more? And it's entirely unjustified to suggest they only served themselves. Look at all they did.

  • how do u dislike it i mean come on

  • Totally agree!

  • I listen to this every time I need a boost of inspiration. I still tear up every time his voice breaks when he says "take him to his rest today".

  • @MrsMe16 me too!!

  • @MrsMe16 and me...

  • @MrsMe16 i totally agree it's the breaking in his voice the truly emphasises the point. I think when he said "but the work of our own hands" is so resounding it's unbelievable.

  • @MrsMe16 me too

  • If only everyone in the world were to hear this. He speaks such truth, we have such a short time in this world that when we put everything into perspective, our disagreements are so meaningless.

  • we need Bobby in the world today...

  • @joeylikeslots Teddy's last words to the blond in the pond?

  • Why the EVE Online music? It does fit nicely though... Its a very moving speech. (no, EVE did not rip this, EVE came out in 2003, and the quality is far too good for 1966, in response to comments about the aforementioned.)

  • YEAH! Why not! Fuck the old world order/NWO. Lets just do it!

  • Quite heart breaking at the end when he nearly loses it.

  • I love the Kennedys, they had a sincerity and an integrity that was really quite astounding. I was born ten years after Bobby Kennedy was assassinated, yet still, grew up with a sense of the Kennedy ideals. I think they will always be remembered and will be held up to future generations as a symbol of hope. I'm not American either, but I admire so much - these truly great American men. RIP JFK, RFK and Big Teddy X

  • All the family is reunited in God's house:}

  • exactly.... WHY NOT?

  • And to think that people, especially through talk-radio, cheered when Teddy died...

  • after seeing the kennedy series my heart went out to bobby and jackie the most. its true what they say, the higher you rise the harder you fall i respect this family but thank god im not a kennedy

  • Damn you to hell for all eternity Sirhan Sirhan...you robbed me of one of my heroes.

  • @superdoobo Wow, man. You really need to think before you type. Or better yet, just think, period.

  • @superdoobo You are seriously misinformed. The clan still thrives with most of them doing public service. Granted many do not have the last name Kennedy, yet they are directly descended from the Kennedy sisters. Look at Shriver who is currently working with the handicapped and hosting special olympics. Those kennedy's that are still left are simply following in the footsteps of Bobby and the Kennedy sisters, devoting their lives to public service.

  • @superdoobo Tell me who has taken their place, the answer is not a clan of misfits, but a multitude of fucking idiots; yes there is no other way to describe the idiocracy in our society today.

  • Bravo!

  • What JFK ,Robert Kennedy, MLK, and Ted Kennedy Had in vision nothing but the best for all peoples yet under our system of government this is not permissible. It's been fifty years since JFK and this nation returned to giving big corp. and the rich more power over the masses to the extent the common man doesn't have a voice anymore. The people in Wash. have made it clear the highest bidder runs this country and to them maximizing profits for themselves and the stockholder is all that matters.

  • It's shocking that their hasn't been a public servant or leader that has come close to any of the three Kennedys or MLK with their intellegence, wisdom and their dedication to helping those in need of help in rising up to obtain a better life for themselves and their children. Not only in the US but in other countries he was seen by the people as hope for them to rise up from the wrongs placed upon them. No other US president touched so many and beleived he wanted the best for everybody.

  • What Ted Kennedy said in this eulogy still holds true today and probably more so. Since the lose of JFK and Robert very little has changed. These men touched not only americans but people all over the world and I yet to see any US president galvanize the masses as he did. His message gave not only americans hope for a better life but people all across the globe. They beleived in his message because eveyone was included in it he wanted better for the people of the earth.

  • "Those of us who loved him and who take him to his rest today, pray that what he was to us and what he wished for others will some day come to pass for all the world"

What a tribute to his brother.

  • so, so, so beautiful.

  • "saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it."

    That's pretty intense.

  • ...He was meant to do what he did in the Senate. He changed the lives of millions, and they will remember him forever, as they will remember his brothers.

  • No one speaks like this anymore. Losing his brothers turned ted into the amazing man he was. Had he lived, john would have been one of the greatest presidents. Because he died, bobby took his place, and he himself would have been an even greater president, but he too was killed. These murders changed ted. He was a playboy. He got himself into trouble in the same way that celebrities, like lindsay lohan, do. But he had to carry on the legacy of his brothers. He was never meant to be president....

  • @Grizzlyguy07 your comparison of Ted Kennedy was one of the most impressive comparisons i have ever read. it is where we are all headed if we allow ourselves to evolve and grow (hopefully before too many mistakes) . I think, the Kennedy's left us the legacy we all have, to always remember that we have a country we must all take care of and that freedom is not cheap, it never was.

  • John and Robert were before their time, in a time filed with much hatred and bigotry....I've always felt JFK may have shown himself to be one of the greatest presidents in our history had he been given the time. And RKF may have been able to do the same

"I dream things that never were, and say why not"

  • actually tearful.

  • one of the greatest, bravest americans of modern times, maybe of all time, and they killed him for it.

  • My God, what is happening to America?

  • @PhiloAmericana we are cowering to power, and accepting its transformation into a giant cage. if some had stood up to find and oppose bobbys killers, and the president's, we would have real leaders, instead of superficial instruments of intelligence powers.

  • what's the name of this song?

  • Where can I find this without any music playing in the background?

  • R.I.P Bobby and JFK. The world needs more of them. It's too bad others don't stand up for whats right.

  • Say what you will about the Kennedy family, but this is incredibly moving.

  • our world today would have been immeasurably better, had JFK and RFK been able to fulfill their destiny....god knows what they'd have to say if they could see what's going on in this country today....

  • @doubleas2380 it takes a big man to make fun of a family that has been through more hell than anyone can imagine.

  • we are all americans.

lets us all support and be there for one another.

lets us agree to disagree but not be enemies.

let us live lifes to help those in need and become the best we

    can become

  • Let us all be honest. If he had lived what would he have been??? Probable like many of the Kennedy men he would have some sort of addiction either to drugs or alcohol. He would alos have had problems in dealing with women in adult fashion as a result he would have been some sort of predator. The signs were already there. Double digging Marilyn Monroe with his brother was a sign of things to come

My image of what he might have been is a short, fat drunk rapist with a whine girl voice

  • @KongSunWu First off, learn how to fucking type. Secondly, Ted Kennedy fucked up big time with the Chappaquiddick incident, but to call him a rapist is ridiculous and has about as much fact behind it as Obama being a Muslim, which is to say none. And FDR was an alcoholic, JFK was hooked on drugs because of his adrenal deficiency, but they were both great presidents. George W. Bush gave up drinking and he fucked the country up massively, so that doesn't matter.

  • @pistonfan2010 george bush ws fuck up from day 1 ( Mr Debacle

  • Oh my, what a dreadful time that was, two months after MLK was tragically cut down. I was 11 years old, but I remember the grief as a major event in my life. People crying everywhere for days. I was too young to fully understand, it's the grief part that has stayed with me all these years.

  • Added to my New Year's Resolutions:

Watch/listen to this video once every week.

  • @KongSunWu You're sick

  • RFK tried to live up to the ideals that this country was built upon. God bless RFK and God Bless America.

  • The Kennedys were all beautiful, brave men, who possessed a strong sense of justice and knew right from wrong. I don't think you could find greater men. They died as martyrs for what they believed in, and I hope their legacy will live on through the efforts of people who appreciate them. I know I do :) And I'm not even American. Because it wasn't just America they struggled for, it was humankind. R.I.P JFK and RFK... and Ted as well.

  • @4watlij

    great comment.

  • @4watlij-what a beautiful thing to write. I'm a lifelong admirer of The Kennedys for all their faults. There were no greater public servants for this country. And look what happened to them. I still cry over the loss. Monday will be 43 yrs since we lost Bobby & I still cannot look at the footage of Bobbys' shooting. I STILL cry! They will never ever be replaced & it angers me to hear people compare present day fakers to them. They cannot be replaced. These magnificent leaders murdered.

  • @HeartInThe60s Completely agreed!

  • @4watlij A strong sense of justice? If that's the case why didn't Ted turn himself in after he killed his secretary while driving drunk?

  • I don't know why I keep coming back listening to this from time to time.

  • @Tonyo1221 Because it feels good. I still have newspapers from JFK; can't let them go.

  • It's difficult to imagine sometimes that politicians once spoke this way. With such optimism and forcefulness. This gives me hope that if it could happen once, it can happen again. He was a good man.

  • Bobby, Jack and Ted did actually care. Helping my Aunt wouldn’t have benefited Ted Kennedy the slightest bit. She isn’t rich so she could never be a big money donor. She didn’t live in his state, so he couldn’t count on her vote at the polls, or for her to campaign for him. Ted did it because it was Right. That's what makes Jack, Bobby and Ted great men. They gave a damn and they really tried to do what was right. I thank God for the Kennedys. This country needs more leaders like them.

  • A couple days later she received a call from Senator Kennedy himself and he vowed she would receive every cent due her. My Aunt was impressed he didn't offer a half assed, “I'll see what I can do.” He bluntly told her, “We're going to take care of this.” And he did. When some jerks tried to blow off members of his staff, Ted Kennedy marched over there himself and ripped them a new asshole. Needless to say, my Aunt promptly received all of the money owed her - just as Senator Kennedy promised.

  • The Kennedys are the only reason my Aunt finally received the money the military owed her family. My uncle served in Nam and developed leukemia after being exposed to Agent Orange. For ages the military gave my Aunt the run around, refusing to hand over that money. Although my Aunt didn't even live in Massachusetts, she called Senator Ted Kennedy’s office. She was desperate because those “patriotic” republicans in her home state wouldn't even return her phone calls or respond to her letters.

  • This video is very very beautifully done, the haunting music and touching images with the incredibly inspiring quotes delivered at an incredibly sad time.

We were raised with many of these quotes in our home. Thank you PaddyIrishMan2 for posting this video and a great thanks to my Mom all parents like her who make a conscious choice to try to raise children on a diet of hope, dreams, compassion & thoughtfulness.

  • makes you wonder what America could be like if he lived.....

  • ppl say why the US is being fucked frm all directions? its because u ppl didnt appreciate ppl like the Kennedy brothers and Martin Luther King Jr.........God bless them............. now u have ppl like obama and palin running ur country...............

  • @akisgr8101

    obama represents kennedy and Mlk.

Palin cant stand in his level and you know it.

  • @mauribest1 dude obama doesnt represent neither Bobby nor MLK if he did, he wud have stopped the 2 wars that have destroyed american democracy and economy and gave rise to nations like China and Iran....... the two nations that directly benefited with these with the demise of american economy gave china the chance to grow its economy and the direct beneficiary of iraq war was Iran u guys installed a shitt'e govt in Iraq...... dont compare gr8 men like Bobby and MLK with likes of obama

  • @akisgr8101 we live in different times than those

we faced terrorism something we never had to face with in the 1960s!!

you to have to put that in perspective.

  • @mauribest1 Hello! Was the Cuban Missile Crisis not terrifying enough for you? Was the world's Nuclear Arsenal not enough? Is that not terrorism? These acts instilled fear on the people of the world. The wars today are nothing compared to what could've been World War III!

  • @mauribest1 You apparently weren't around then! In the 5th grade, we hid under our desks once a week, and viewed movies reminding us that the Russians might destroy the entire country in one swoop. I lay awake at night whenever I heard a plane go over, wondering if this was "it". In the 6th grade, our teacher told us that he didn't know how long he could stay, because we seemed to be on the verge of WWIII. In the 7th grade, the President was murdered. "Terrorists"?? Puhleeze.

  • Ah, hello, in the "60s" we faced in China and the Soviet Union - these were two actual nations equipped with actual thermonuclear weapons.

The great hobgoblin of "terrorism" today consists of a few thousand private individuals, with at most a few million dollars funding, who live on the other side of the planet. Nothing more.

9-11 was the spectacular failure of a bloated national “defense” establishment - of course they're going to make up a story about how scary this new all-powerful enemy is.

  • All the Kennedy haters cannot destroy what JFK and RFK said and the words they used were visionary and daring for their time. The Kennedys are not perfect, they probably had an itchy armpit now and again. But, they were brave, and dared to change the world towards more peace and away from war. RIP.

  • Nice

  • R.I.P. to all the Kennedy's. We need more..

  • Yes, You, Bobby, WILL be judged for all the evil you wreaked when on earth!!

  • @periperigord You will be judged for judging him before you judge yourself. He didn't kill Marilyn Monroe, what an idiotic person you are.A French Joe McElderry fan trying to tell a great man like Bobby Kennedy about morality.Evil incarnate my bollocks,at least he tried to make a positive difference in the world.Surely that's more productive and admirable than spending your time spending rumours about the Kennedys on Youtube? You are either joking or else you are a joke.

  • @DustyAndPistolPete No joking at all! You - and many others -must be incredibly naive to really believe that the Kennedys 'cared'! All they cared about was their own power & skins. They didn't give a damn about anyone else! Just look at their past records (or are you too young & innocent to remember all the scandals & horrific cover-ups surrounding them?). I actually had lunch with Ted Kennedy in Jamaica just after the Kopechne drowning and my goodness did I learn a thing or two about him!

  • Comment removed

  • Bobby Kennedy

So great, Hilary Clinton has to apologize for the very slip of his name, in the process of making fun.

Your work will be finished Bobby, thank you for continuing the dream that we all should have for America.

  • amazing speech, if only he wasnt killed

also what song did you use in the background? I thought it was good

  • @morrisd326 He commited suicide -metaphysically speaking. He deserved all he got. He was incredibly foolish in mixing with the underworld. He was instrumental in Marilyn Monroe's death. He was evil incarnate!

  • @periperigord In reality - RFK is dead as he went against the 'underworld', which his father & others were linked to. First by renouncing McCarthy. Then by renouncing the evil in the US govt.which wanted the Vietnam War, racism & economic tyranny.

He came from that mileau & rejected it - & it killed him.

  • It's been a long time since I've cried like this.

  • @derekxnl Save your tears for those who are worthy of them!

  • I wish that the complete funeral mass was online. I saw it live as a little child. The irony of the pews of St. Patrick's Cathedral being filled with those who hated RFK to death is inescapable.

Dr. Charles Courboin, organist of the Cathedral, 80 & crippled with Parkinson's, performed the finest music of his career, moving ppl to tears. It was simple, but spoke volumes. Richard Tucker, the Jewish opera star & Cantor sang the PanisAngelicus with Courboin playing. It was...perfection.

  • how on Earth did 24 people dislike this? I watch this video at least once a week. It steels me in times of weakness.

  • @wtharpe1 Agreed. Those who would dislike this are many, schooled in hatred & elitism. In school I was fed the 'company line' that JFK, RFK & MLK were all 'immoral' & 'adulterers'. To destroy any possible good reputation their memories could have.

    What man has not sinned?

The point of their lives was that they risked their own personal safety for moral good. They each knew they would die due to this.

  • @wtharpe1 those 24 ppl represent pure evil dont be bothered by them

  • While FDR was the 20th century's greatest president, RFK would have most certainly been up there with him. Decades later, and in this age of plutocracy and economic ruin, the loss is just as staggering, if not more so.

  • Much love to all of the Kennedy's. We need more

  • Is there a recording of this somewhere for download?

  • So sooo moving......

    Every child should hear this.

  • 3 months after rfk died , I entered high school . I remember the funeral . Bono got it half right . One more in the name of love ? If you were alive back then maybe you ll agree that it was one more in the name of hate .

  • @crkreg-You could not have hit the nail anymore on the head with what you said if you tried......so so sad but so so true.....

  • I'm a 24 years old guy and I balled my eyes out listening to this.

  • @asakite616 Me too

  • The most important SPEECH by any man in the 20th century and this SPEECH has more significance in 2010 than it did when it was created from grief, A SPEECH OF LOVE THAT CAME FROM GRIEF BORN FROM A PASSION 2 MAKE THINGS RIGHT IN THE WORLD OF TDAY
