Jay Rosenblatt has ALWAYS been my favorite indie short filmmaker. I was his T.A. at SFSU back in 1995 and knew then that he was a genius. From "Brain in the Desert" to "Smell of Burning Ants" and "Human Remains", Jay has a gift of conveying a truth, an existence in this life aka "the human condition" in such a way that is truly mesmerizing. He and his films continue to influence me 15 years later.....
