  • GET SOME GURL!!! now come out to the northwest an throwdown!! we be shuckin & shuckin.....

  • I'm coming over for dinner......you are an amazing beautiful woman!!!

  • Deborah Pratt is passionate, proud, profound and a phenomenal woman. For those who chose to banter at how she pronounces the word "oyster" it's simply amazing how ignorant and rude your statements can be, for if you we educated and knowledgeable about dialects throughout the different regions within US, than you would understand. To understand her struggle and the adversaties she overcame to be a world renowned female oyster shucker would make you think twice before judging her negatively.

  • She's right, the Rappahannock oyster is the best in Virginia.

They are creamy, nice size and a nice blend of brine and sweetness.

Hank's in Alexandria has a contract w/them so they have a great supply in season.

  • I'm salivating looking at all those oysters. Why do they have to be so damn expensive...

  • What a wonerful pesentation...it's called oysters. I'd love and di eat dozens at a time!

  • Very strange how it's perfect English then she says "oysherhethrerrr."

  • Go to Hoopers Island and some of those other Island and you can live 25 miles away and can't understand them..

  • I hate how she says "Oyschur"

  • can you be my mom

  • She's GOOD!!!!!!

  • its oysters... why do some ppl pronounce them oysteur? lol

  • Ha! Welcome to the Chesapeake Bay. You should visit Tangier Island for even more unusual accents.

  • @VisitVirginia: god no, not tangier talk. it's like a mutt form of cornwall british mixed with irish, and confuses the living shit out of me!

  • even if she's shucking 'ois-cha's' instead of 'oysters,' im still impressed, because ois-cha's sound smaller, therefore more difficult.

  • NB: This is *not* Deborah Pratt (aka "Marella") from the 'Airwolf' TV series.

  • Hmmm, sorry to disappoint, even though we did love that show.

  • I almost cut my Hand Open tryin to open an oyster! LoL

  • I'm a pretty good shucker myself...might need to enter this competition

  • Those oysters are nice and fat. They look great.

  • she looks like michelle obama!!!!!!

  • Hi Deborah, you are so cool! I just completed a show on Canadian oysters and they were delicious and easy to open. I can't wait to taste a Virginia oysters!
