@qwertyuiop1987 from information in the next olympics probably he will participate in shows during the olympics,but im not sure he will be able to compete again due to his injury..anyway time will show;)

Well...Olympic Games 2010 are here and Yagudin is not participating. What a pitty! He was the best with Plush. He'll be 34 in 2014. I am wondering we'll he participate then or it's going to be too late (age thing)?!?

he was serious..

he had that idea probably after Japan Open 2007, where he completed a clean "Gladiator" program, with 8 jumping passes (of course not triple axel or quad, but with 2 triple lutzes etc). He had the surgery so that he could possibly land those jumps again, but he got injured again right after returning to the ice. So he completely abandoned those thoughts and now only does the triple toe-loop in shows...

Yagudin was taken in California for "drink-driving", he reterned to Russia a while after that.. Never read any real reports about it.. But would like that!! I`m his big fun, but not from the "First Chanel", drink and drive are not good together. no kidding.

I read about his official statement that he is not coming back a couple of weeks ago, and it made me very sad. He was the most brilliant of them all, and I love him. I am glad that he will be taking care of himself and resting so that his injuries will get better, but I'm sad that figure skating has had its brightest star go away. Lyublu Tebya Yagudin!

I absolutely love him and Plushy, but I don't want them to have more series injuries in the future. They're both so young and already having major surgery. Plus, there's nothing left for them to win. And Yagudin hasn't competed since 2002. I guess it speaks to his popularity that even 6 years after his last eligible competition, people still desperately want him back. But I'd rather remember him as the golden boy of 2002 who won everything in sight.

Yeh i do not want hime to be in pain but i know he wants to come nack one more time in competition people do he does he has a lot of strength and heart to do it for him and for us who love and admire him so much we in Greece are watching all these years owrld and eurioean and Olympics i recently discovered you tube and u would not know how strong and unique skater he is especially Passion it is breathtaking he just gets better as he grows!

Where do you know it from that Plushenko wont come back??Cause the last news about him were about his comeback!!And he said in lots of interwievs that he wants to be a 2-time olimpic champion.And he wanted to make a comeback for the last season but unfortunately he had a surgery. But i dont know it for sure i just hope he will come back and i really want Yagudin to come back, too.

He wrote a biography called "Overcome" but it's only been published in Japan some years ago and will be published in Russia next year I guess. Can't wait for the english version!

OMG!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! i would love it if all the well known skaters came back for 2010 and won. Wouldn't it be a dream to see alexei and evgeny head to head again. I want one of them to win, Sasha Cohen to win, and Belgin and Agosto, I don't follow Pairs, its gotten kind of boring. Hopefully a good team will pop out till then.
