I prefer the concept of oblivion over heaven or hell. That way i live this life to the full without some misguided notion of an afterlife dictating my decisions in life.
Thanks for sharing this. I did not grow up in a Christian home. I am a Christian now though, and a parent. Both of us a concerned about raising Cheyenne up right. I think its right, we as parents need to help them realize its about a relationship with Jesus. Just taking her to church and her observing how we live alone she might think of it as just our religion. So thank you.
Hi there. Even though I went away as I got older, I knew inside that I needed to get right with the Lord. Taking your daughter to church is a really good thing to do, but yes, as you say, share what it means to know Jesus personally too. May He bless you and your husband for this.
"iv not lost anything that was worth keeping". Brilliant.... just brilliant.

I was saved out of a fear of going to Hell when I was young. Now I am loving my life in Christ, and living it to fullest for Him.
Keep shining for the King, Sarah! Your doing great!

You can live this life to the full if you choose to follow Jesus, see John 10:10
What you cannot do is obliterate hell by saying it isn't there.
