I have to agree, the more 'features' and useless garbage Notch keeps adding to the game, is making it more boring, not more interesting.

Minecraft is best as a sandbox, exploration and build game. Turning it into World of Minecraft is moving away from why I bought it in the first place. That being said, it will become one of my most favourite games of all time, but perhaps played in earlier versions.

I like 1.8 and 1.9 but i think there is just so much to do now and some things are becoming easier. I mean you don't always find NPC villages right where you spawn but its just losing that minecraft feel.

I agree that the game is easier now. I don't bother with the night anymore now. When in the early days it got night I would run for my house and I fearewd what walked outside, I was also weary of caves. Now I run round with the mobs and mine near them. Its too easy now!!!!

@LordUg You know you don't have to play on Easy all the time, there's also a difficulty setting called "Hard" might make you wanna piss your pants running to your house sometimes ^.^

@Koloszrodosthe As I said I have played this game over a year. I remembered there was a difficulty setting :). I used to play on easy or normal. Only have 3 or 4 pieces of pork that DIDN'T STACK to save on inventory space made it so you respected the dangers, especially underground. But now get 2 string and make a bow at the start, 30 mins fishing and you have a massive amount of STACKED food. That changes everything. I always play on normal or hard. It's still too easy :)

@Koloszrodosthe Oh and let's not forget that the amount of ores like iron and coal have been increased. So iron armour is easy to get, where as there was a time you chased cows round cos leather armour was the best you could get for a good amount of time. Also coal used to be hard to get and go back before charcoal and you almost panicked to find some coal before night. Now within 5 mins of entering the game you can have charcoal set up and be completely safe :)

uhm, luclin, redstone circuitry was In game much earlier than 1.2.6, it was already in from 1.0.2_1 so, thats not true. check the entire version list.

Yeah, Alright, play Alpha where there's no adventure, the caves are pitch black for the viewers until you get torches, There's only three relatively small biomes, no mods that are up to date with alpha, a lot less rpg elements and tons of missing items.

By the way, I never spawn by an NPC Village in 1.8.1 or 1.9.5, and what everyone seems to ignore is it's just as hard in the new versions as in the old ones, but it really isn't hard at all. I can find coal easily in both versions.

I think this ia a great idea because it gives me a glimpse into what minecraft was like before 1.8. Im realatively new to the game, I started playing a week before 1.8 came out in fact.
