I got the soundtrack CD a month before film premiere - and was I HOT on that film. The CD was played all day !

Then the arrived, -and went into the pojector asap for "test-run"... and SLAP. First disappointment: Woody still lives in the fourties... All that wonderful music, witch was so beautilful mixed on the CD, now - in the pro world of cinema, came out of the center channel - mono !

And the film was not funny at all. One of my few Woody disappointments. CD still great, though... ;-)

Woody's movies have always been a bright spot in my life. Even when I had hurt my back and was stuck in bed watching LOVE AND DEATH laughing and screaming in pain as my back would spasm from laughing. He's also a great singer who's songs, especially this one reach me deeply. I was married for 7 years and now I'm a single dad of two kids ages 12 and 8 who's mom/my wife abandoned us about 7 years ago and when he sings about 'stuffing his heart with icy frigid air' I can truly appreciate it.

@beebtv I love Mr Allen too; grew up only 15 mins from NYC...and now when I watch some of his films, I think of my younger days in Manhattan...when life was so much fun and I was optimistic about everything...even love.
