MAN, you almost made it to the runway, 5 more feet and it would have been a perfect dead stick landing, oh well. damage wasn't bad at all but I know when you pour your heart and soul into a project it SUX to crash it. I haven't been flying planes a lot due to my QUADCOPTER addiction but I still try to keep up.
@meatloaf396 its all good mate. guess what i was trying to tell you was that you can not win an argument from Bruce. He is a very very very experienced guy in this field and I take his advise seriously due to his experience.
@alishanmao It sounded like a rich high needle. I had an engine sounding exactly like that, closing the high end by about a quarter turn fixed it. It gives loads more power, sounds better and is way more reliable.
from what I saw this model has a high percentage of aerodynamically details he has good penetration, but in the question piece center of gravity for the reason this model has a long tail and short front, the manufacturer could alter the incidence of the wing by 0.5 degrees by changing the angle of the wing that would be slightly offset the negative regulation of CG, the phenomenon you could pass this idea to the manufacturer to see if it is possible to make this change to the model embraces
@meatloaf396 Ah mate, do not argue with Bruce (Sir xjet). one person that I trust the advise most in this industry is Bruce (xJet) well yes people can be wrong but Bruce has got a proven experience. and he is a great buddy of mine. You are too a great mate. Now as per my experience lol yes all Engines are made in China. DA seems to be heavily advertised but yes DLE are really very popular even inside China.
Instead of replying in Chinese you gave him a hand example, so the audience knew what you meant. You are superb. The aircraft is more difficult...LOL, thanks Gianni
@xVoltage21 you sound like jealous or Envious? I do not want to be rude, but not everything I get from sponsored. This plane I bought from my own pocket and I spent quite a good amount of money and time on this bird to prepare it. I do feel bad even when I crash the sponsored stuff cuz its my job to test these not crash these. I do care if something will crash or not even if its sponsored stuff or mine cuz I spend hours and days preparing these things and I love to see them fly, not crash.
@soverato3 Ah I wish i had that much money :D actually I do have the money but how to get wife convinced to spend 7000 USD on a plane heheheh and then nah, too much trouble. need 3 people to carry it to field, help me start the turbine etc. and then too much equipment to start the engines. nah, we love these simple gassers
@xjet He is probably playing with you. he is one of my fans here Bruce, so go easy on him heheheh. I do agree with you on the comment about using DLE engines. those engines are by far the best running ones. I was planning to go a big 100cc plane and I thought I will go with twin cylinder DLE.
@meatloaf396 Of all the Chinese-made gas engines, the DLEs seem to be the best and most consistent. The others simply don't run as reliably or produce as much power (in my experience).
@xjet i had a da50 that caused me to crash a hangar 9 carden yak during inverted harrier, it really didn't like the fuel being splashed around, so, i sold that and bought 2 DLE's AND OMG THAT EXTRA 5CC MAKES SO MUCH DIFFERENCE ITS UNTRUE!!!
@xjet well I am going to probably test a new 9cc Gasoline engine soon bruce. a local company in this province making it. the guy used to be the boss of JBA Engine company but he quits, opens his own factory and making these tiny gasser engines.
@alishanmao JBA (shudder!) I've seen a few JBA engines and have not been impressed at all. Good luck Ali, I suspect you're going to need it ;-) You will fund that a 9cc gas engine will be significantly down on power compared to a nitro engine the same size and, once you factor in the additional weight of the ignition, it's probably not going to be a particularly practical powerplant. I recall that Magnum in the USA were promoting a .55-sized gas motor. It never materialized in the end.
@xjet LOL Bruce, JBA (Shudder) yes its here too hahahah. (Shudder again) but hey its worth a try right. I had the same idea as yours but company claims that its selling hot due to its power. we are reviewers Bruce and its our job to see what new (shudders) things are offered from CHina right heheheh
@alishanmao I guess you're luckier than me because you can get stuff a whole lot cheaper eh? I've seen other people here buy products that are so bad I would never waste a cent buying them for review -- and of course only those companies that know they have good products tend to offer free samples for review -- the rest send their products to RCU and RCG for review because they know they'll get nothing but five-stars and rave reviews there :-)
Sorry you had a hard landing, but I'm sure you'll have it fixed in no time. Its great to see more reviews from you, though I know the little one must be taking allot of your time.
@cloudsplitter24 yup Little one sure takes our time but its worth being with that little angel who has learned to throw beautiful smiles, learned to ko ko ka ka more with excitement, can recognize faces of mom and dad :D its just sweet.
Heart was pounding when I heard the motor cutting in and out man.. But overall, Im really impressed by your light-hearted attitude towards the crash.. Id be in post-crash withdrawal if I were in your shoes.
ALI. The Gee Bee looks great flying. did you look up the history of the real full size plane. It was very hard to fly and kill some of it's pilots in crashs. So i think you are doing well on that short runway GOOD LUCK
Chinese guy commented:"This plane is hard to fly..." lol

isn't is stalling because of the carbs are inverted with the engine?
jbx907 8 months ago
@jbx907 nops, its due to my poor Gasoline engine tuning skills
alishanmao 8 months ago
lol hehehe!
jbx907 8 months ago
lol, you can actually here Myriam get all annoyed with the crash at around 4:27 ... Her sigh says it all.
Doesn't look too bad though. better then breaking a wing i guess.

@Spawn4ever guess she likes this heli too

@Spawn4ever
lol I heard that too. She must have been thinking... "So how much is THIS going to cost now??" :-)
Ali, what caused the motor cutout? Bad tuning? Or fuel starvation due to high G maneuvers?
twinturbostang 8 months ago
@twinturbostang maybe bad tuning mate. I need to learn more about Gas engine tuning, I suck.
