{internal power]is not just restricted to INTERNAL TYPE KUNG-fu. all chinese martial arts are of the same family. Even the EXTERNAL type would not lack of internal power. We share the knowledge each other ~~~
Hi raphamundsen: do you know of this master? As for cimr99's comment: there's a general saying, that when an internal master reaches the highest level of ability, he transcends the limits of form, id est, he looks like he's 'poor' to the untrained eye. When observing such masters, you should look for exactness, intent, softness, and fluidity in each movement.
Hi Doubtfuls, thank you for replying. Sadly, I don't know this master. I'm just fully impressed and stunned by his skills and the beauty of his form. I totally agree with the saying you're quoting, that's what we can see on other vids : the more they train, the older they get, the less we see! Particularly obvious in Sun Style, in my opinion, including Taji Sun Style. You are a practicioner, I suppose?
Of course I am. I study under a master's supervision. He taught me the bases and three taos. And I just keep practicing all these since... One year almost. I'm practising Hebei style. And you?
Shanxi. And I'd love to go there someday. Would love to go Hebei too, for Baguazhang. What are the 'three taos'? But yea, the basics are a lot as they are. A single pizhang, as the one done above, can be executed in numerous ways.
I love Shanxi Style. I own a DVD about it, nd really admire its strengtgh. Beautiful and powerful. You're very lucky. THe three taos are just the famous "five elements", and two other (longer) forms that our master taught us. But as you said, the basics can be studied separately, and I do practice a lot this way. Say, do you have an e-mail adress? It'd be a pleasure to keep corrsponding and discuss these matters! Friendly yours.

cimr99, I already told you on some other forum : you're commenting performances from great masters. A little humility could be appreciated!
