  • well done to you you do know what you are talking about you are very smart. This drug destroyed my life for 7 months.

dampened my emotions had no empathy for myself or others attempted suicide for 1st time ever while on this and drove me to violent thoughts because of the lack of emotion or caring. all psychiatric drugs are dangerous i was on many, met someone who listened to mu life problems and emotions and helped immensely

read toxic psychiatry by peter breggin, he cares.

  • NOTE: like the other persons message, I also strongly suggest avoiding SSRI's (class of drugs, including Prozac). Amytryptaline and Nortriptyline are tricyclic antidepressant (TCA). I am not an expert on the physiological aspects of these drugs but can tell you with FIRST person experience, that Prozac did myself more harm than good, and that the other drugs worked better overall.

  • AFTER trying the Melatonin (take at night 1/2 hour before bed and when ALREADY tired) (if not tired at night, force self awake the whole next day - suffer through it and then start the Melatonin). If it doesn't work, then try Elavil (Amitryptaline) or Aventyl HCl, Pamelor (Nortriptyline) to help get sleep pattern corrected. These drugs are STRONG, but less problematic than Prozac. I tried Elavil before - it works, but you drag the next morning. I am trying Aventyl now with less drag in morn!

  • I have taken several anti-depressants, all at separate times. I would NOT recommend Prozac to anybody. It makes you feel apathetic, having neither ability to feel great nor really bad. SLEEPING problems, and lack of NATURAL SUNLIGHT usually are the KEY sources to depression. VITAMIN D with CALCIUM in liquid form can help with lack of natural sunlight. Sleeping problems can be handled with less mind altering drugs. Try MELATONIN (low dose non-prescription) to help with sleep.

  • i am on Vilift, it's really effective and safe. it didn't gave me any side effects and i am more happy about ihat.

  • Prozac turn me into a aggressive person. I am off prozac now and iam a lot more calm now.

  • i love taking Vilift, it's best pill i've ever tried.

  • prozac FUCKED ME UP. i am still recovering after many years.

  • maybe you should change to another antidepressants there are more options I felt like that while on efexor and I was put off it after the 19th day, then I was put on strattera to get my concentration and memory back, after dont rmmeber how much time I was put on prozac I had no sideeffects and I feel good not the whole day but much better than before good luck!!!

  • your down to earth i love that keep rokn

  • Hello Honey I used to have prozac on 20mg i hateing the stuff it fucked my sex life and feel crap, have you got msn or yahoo messager looking forward to hearing from you take care Stewart xox

  • They put me on Paxil {sp} at one point in time , and it made me feel that way , and when I came off of it , I had a total melt down ! It was horrible !! Just be carful with meds like that , bc alot of the time they will mess you up more than help you . Ill never take ANYTHING like that ever again . Good luck !!

  • I didn't listen to the whole thing, but ODing on water, at least when I've heard it, is called water poisoning. It's not easy to do though. But then, people with eating disorder do weird things with food (and nonfood) so they should be warned.

  • I am on prozac and I am finding that I have been on it for like 3 or 4 weeks and I feel so tired and drained and such and like irritable and such

It is weird yet I am still trying to give a chance. Hugs

  • Thanx for your input! Keep in touch! XO!
