Uranus is a gas giant and has the mass of 14.5 earths. This planet has the mass of 3.6 earths. Would this planet necessarily be a rocky planet like earth or would it have properties between a gas giant and a rocky world?
@Shandielicious2423 Depends of the distance between the planet and parent star (the more distance from the star, the less minimal mass, required to be a gas giant). Even the planet with mass 1 earth may theoretically be a gas "giant" if located in 50-100 au from Sun. But this planet should be rocky, with a very dense atmosphere (much denser than Earth's)
@ronmorris88 It is all in the matter of accelerating a probe to a considerable fraction of the speed of light in order to get there in a reasonable time. The Large Hadron Collider requires so much energy to power particles to light speed. Now multiply that by billions for the mass of a probe that isnt even taking into consideration the increasingly difficult task of further accelerating an already accelerating object. Study Einsteins theory of relativity.
@ronmorris88 we could but it would take a very long time for them to get there. The closest star to our own is 4 light years which means it would take a minimum of 4 years traveling at the speed of light. The fastest human made space craft travels less than 1% the speed of light. We can't design craft that could make it to them in reasonable amount of time so it would be pointless because everyone who worked on the project would be dead and their grand children would also have aged and died.
you have some great stuff here

I predict in the future we will have a google earth like platform where we can watch life living on other planets in delayed time

i am not sure about super earth, nasa found outside space.
i am fear of super earth, because it looks to me very defferent.
everything act very strong than my own earth.
wind might be strong, 500 miles a hour at super earth.
our eath blew up to 150 miles a hour. i can't live super earth.
thank you.
