Look I'm a Buckeye fan but you think Jeremy Taylor would get dogged by Jared? Comparing highlights, Taylor is more powerful, more athletic and he's a better shooter. But you never know.
Yea I think Thomas and Weatherspoon will end up being better.. hopefully im wrong, but i dont see whats so great about sullinger... yea he is a beast on the boards but he will be challenged a lot more at the next level
I hope we're wrong. I thought BJ Mullens was gonna be a freak of nature like Oden but I was wrong about that too. But then again I went to the same highschool as BJ so I saw every one of his games. I'm paralyzed from the shoulders down and he used to feed me lol. GO BUCKS!!!
reminds me a hella!!!!!!!!!lot of tim duncan!!! the big fundamentals protege in a sense!!! his fundamentals are solid already!!! add a lil athleticism like they did to tim at wake forest....damn hes gonna kill!!!!
i agree fundamental players are good in college but generally not as good in college as in the nba, which is stink for players that work hard but dont possess natural athleticism
What do you consider special? 360 dunks? Behind the back passes? Those are flashy parts of the game. Too much of that is considered great player instead of sound play. Footwork, refined skills, poise, intelligence, confidence. Playing the complete game. That is what scouts and college coaches look for. Not just a kid that can jump or dribble.
What does it matter if you can crossover a player like Iverson if you average 5+ turnovers a game? What does it matter if you can jump 40+ inches if you do not know how ot use you leaping ability to create plays? Throw 2 behind the back passes for assists but 4 more go into the stands? This is regular for most kids in America. They do not know what good basketball is or what great talent is because they are not great players and have likely never seen great playes in person.
he just killed josh smith ,you know the other player that ahead of jared on rivals(the most accurate recruiting source period whoever they say is number one i basically agree with)jared 21 points 13 rebounds while josh smith a 11 points 6 rebounds lol(in other words jared lock that ass up) he is the number one player in the country period he reminds me of a young derrick Coleman cause both are monsters on the board
I scout on the national and regional level. Worked with MaxxAthlete. The nations leading provider of grassroots basketball coverage. I keep tabs on all the top prospects in the nation. Trained and know the a few of the top prospects in the nation and their families on a personal basis. Sullinger has solid size with sound post skills. Touch around the basket. Definitely pro potential. Matta is likely getting a 1 and done player.
Sullinger performed well during last seasons AAU circuit. Has been a high major prospect since middle school. Needs to work on his athleticism but he has the potential to play in the League. Could be a Brand like player in the League.
soft hands, good footwork, got some weight on him. There's a lot of things to like. In order for him to be a pro in my eyes hes gotta put on a few more inches of height to make up for that lack of athleticism. Hes only like 16 or 17 so there's a strong possibility.
True about the height but this kid has alot of natural talent that most bigs do not. Could be 1 and done considering how weak post play is in the NBA today. The question is how dedicated is he to overcoming reaching his potential. Dominated the opposition at the Boo Williams invitational in Virginia a few days ago.
hes the #1 junior in the country and when he was #2 and played jeremy tyler the #1 player @ the time he killed it on him he had like 20 points and 10 somethin rebounds
If he spends 3 years at OSU and gets his body in shape, he will be an NBA allstar someday.

Jared outplayed Jeremy Tyler when the two met head to head last year and most importantly, and as usual, Jared's team won the game.

Top 5 2010 prospect. Players of his calibur coast against lesser competition. No one dominated Sullinger on the AAU circuit. Kid is a pro.
