I got stuck in Tongue for 3 days hitch hiking back in '86. I had to wait on the traveling bank to cash my travelers checks. Have they replaced the hand operated gas pump yet? I hope not. It was a really beautiful town and I wish I could have stayed longer.

I'm from Borgie, Skerray, just along the road, and I live in Strathpeffer now. My family are from island Roan, visible at 0.12. Thanks for posting this, reminds me of home and my late father.

I have the exact same panorama shot from the top of Coldbackie near the radio tower. Back in Dec 1991. I love Tongue!
