according to bob harris the sound track was not live, it was a recording but they were playing along with it in the studio. hey, but its a great show, just saw it on tv. never heard this track before although ive been a who fan for many years.
yup OGWT was one of those shows, it was alternative, no-one in their right mind would mime on that show seriously, it had a reputation to uphold and it did so, would hate to think anyone mimed throughout its run, unlike TOTP.
@kurtizzyflush when I say live I dont mean 'not recorded at a different time' I just mean they were actually playing there as oppose to miming. As for the fading out volume can be faded out in the studio there and then lol its just a case of using the volume controls on the mix table on the recording/transmission equiptment in the studio
