This is what conservatives do best -- distort the truth. If you did your homework, you'd know that the Rev. William J. H. Boetcker, a Presbyterian clergyman and pamphlet writer, wrote at least some of those words in 1916. Not Abe Lincoln. And of course you have to rely on Lloyd Bentsen's wit (see Bentsen/Quayle debate) to round out your flawed 'argument'.

Is that why Barack Obama fails to keep the promises that he makes in his speeches? Since all presidents make use of speech writers should we discount everything they say? When Barack Obama spouts his tired rhetoric and then acts in the reverse with his legislation, we can just chalk it up to the fact that he wasn't expressing his own opinions in the speeches, it was the speech writers fault.
