Thanks again...................BUT, I have yet to use my dehydrator so a couple of more questions please?!! do you use special sheets on the dehydrator or just what it comes with? What amounts of seeds to pulp do you use & what have you found works as far as seasoning goes. ALSO, do you run knife thru the cracker spread out BEFORE you dehydrate or break them up into pieces after? Lastly, how long do you dehydrate for?!! Thanks so very much :-) RU still juicing & posting videos?!!
@kristiv83 Add flax, onions/garlic, salt, anything you want! Or you can make them with no flax; use only what you want! :) Use the sheets that came with it - depending on how wet/dry the product is, use the right sheet. Yes you can score them before you put them in if you want. Dehydrate under 110 until they are dry enough to flip over, then until desired crispness - more wet for a wrap; more dry for a crisp cracker. How long depends on the humidity of your house. Play with it! Peace & Love
@kristiv83 If your pulp is mostly greens then do onions/garlic type style... if the pulp is just apple and fruit you can do a sweet cookie/cracker by adding cinnamon and vanilla instead of garlic/onions :) Peace & Love
You have SUCH a beautiful smile :-) SO happy for you & I LOVE your juicing video..........it helped me very much!!! I was wondering if you could elaborate more on making crackers out of the juicing pulp that's leftover?!! I have a dehydrator now, just need to know how to use it!! TIA!!!! Take care of that gorgeous lil one!!
@kristiv83 :) Thanks for watching! For the crackers you just process the pulp with flax (ground or whole; or both) and add any spices etc. That's it! Well of course you spread it onto dehydrator sheets etc. ;) Peace & Love
What a raw mother feeds her baby? i ask because im a vegan and i have a 9 month old baby next goal is to be raw, so i dont know what should i feed my baby...
@Mujermaravilla3 Until they are around 2 years old children need breast milk or a substitute like coconut milk; to ensure they are getting the fats they need for proper development. Mostly Fruit Fruit Fruit - raw. If you want to do whole grains go for gluten free. No dairy, meat/eggs, or gluten; and no refined sugars of course. You could consider green juice as well. Great youtube channel: robertmorsend - for more information on the subject from a doctor. Thanks for watching :) Peace & Love
Wow, amazing and inspiring both of you!! I'm creeping my way to a raw diet, just started juicing for 2012 which is going ok. Hopefully raw next, but its a very slow transition.
@DollyMat Thanks :) Creeping is movement - way to go! Don't try to follow anything but your heart - it knows just what to do! Transition for me started with becoming vegetarian, then vegan, then gluten free, avoid processed, high raw, juicing, faith/hope/love, and support from a wonderful husband! I'm not 100% raw but in my heart I already know that's were I'm going - it's my destiny. It's a journey, not a destination - ENJOY IT! :D
Well done you. thank you for sharing your journey. I am starting the diet soon. I am just getting equipped and collecting some recipes. I watched some of your videos already and they are very helpful. Please keep up the good work:)
@SuperTabaka Thank you for watching :) You can do it! Equipment: #1 get a blender, even a cheap one; and a juicer of course! (everything else is extra, get it when you can afford it). Find something you love and stick to it so you don't feel deprived as you transition. Reward yourself! It's hard to uncondition years of corporate brainwashing. Fruit fruit fruit!! @bigboyburnsy Organic is better, of course, but we all do what we can - choose fruits and veggies over the other crap and you're on your way - just do your best. It's a progression and it takes time to adjust :) Peace & Love
I like raw food and raw vegetables, but I can't stop eating meat. I have to have meat in just about every meal. I used to eat raw meat too. It was yummy, but my parents kept irritating me about that so I stopped. Although I eat meat every meal, I am always below 185 lbs.
@TutorialTipCom Fruits & veggies are way more alkalizing compared to meat and your body breeds disease in an acidic environment - regardless of your weight - your cells will not be happy in an acidic environment. Alkalize! :) Peace & Love
@MyHealthierMe I like fruits and veggies, and I know they are much more healthy than meat, and better for the body, but still, still very expensive to be a vegetarian in the US, very expensive. I am from the Middle East, and I have thousands of recopies that has ZERO meat in it, and I love most all of them. I could eat veggies all day long and not complain or get bored. Veggies are dirt cheap in Syria, Egypt, ..etc. At least they were cheap when I lived there. Thanks!
@TutorialTipCom I have found being vegan less expensive, in my experience; eating only fresh fruits and veggies raw. I find it to be expensive when I buy packaged vegan foods; which aren't as good for you anyway! lol Thanks for watching! Peace & Love
@kennyworth1967 Take everything you have in your kitchen and find a healthier option eg. gluten pasta - change it to quinoa or corn pasta. Keep this up til you have nothing but healthy food in your kitchen! :) All the while eat as much raw fruit and veggies as you want and try to be high raw every day. If you do this you WILL succeed and you WILL become healthier and happier :) Peace & Love
@mr808steelers Watch my other videos :) I talk more about it. Eating "raw" means having a high diet of raw fruits and veggies. Pretty simple eh? ;) Peace & Love
CONGRATULATIONS! you look amazing! I started my vegan diet for 1 week and I weigh 220 I can't wait to see what will happen to me after a year! :D :D :D you look healthy happy and amazing!
WOW .. I am almost in tears.. Congratulations girl !! YOU ARE AMAZING !!! I so want that to be my story as well. What a insperational video =) YOU ROCK =) LoL
So amazing!! I just saw your video on how you make your favorite green juice. My husband and I are starting in the beginning of October. Any useful tips??
@TheDeckers2010 Cool! It's so much fun :) Tips? hmmm... don't stress yourself out trying to be perfect, just enjoy it and do your best to make healthy choices. Eat tons of raw fruit and lots of green juice. If you have major issues get on the herbs. Have Fun! Hope that helps :) Peace & Love

@MyHealthierMe wow that's so awesome you were able to lose all the weight without even working out. I've been on raw foods for 5 days now and I feel a lot better. thanks for the inspiration to keep going
@MyHealthierMe when u were starting out ..did u do any exercise..or did u just follow the raw food diet?i am starting tomorrow and would really appreciate your feedback!
I think I saw these pics on Raw Food Talk. I'm still in awe at th difference. You all so much more alive and healthy. Keep it up. I'm trying to transition too. Its the hunger and cravings for me that hold me back, but I'm sure I can succeed.
Only when you are ready to be the best you will you do ANYTHING to get it. For me it required pain, suffering, injuries, many failures, many tears and what seemed like hell. The end result is the victory greater than a gold medal, millions of dollars or any other sought after achievement in life. You picked yourself up and carried yourself to the finish line. You deserve a pat on the back!
Thank you for being an inspiration sis. I too have switched totally to a raw foodist way of life and feel so wonderful. ALL of your look amazing. Congrats to you on your journey! I truly appreciate you for sharing your story and pray you continue to do so.
I went to get a clonic and they wouldnt perform it because I had a difbulator implated into my chest to prevent sudden death! They were not willing to take the risk. I was for I believe everything would have been ok...but because of their business I could understand. I have now lost 40pds and the preparing meals have certainly gotten easier.I am actually enjoying it. I prepare lunch for 2 other teachers and we enjoy eatting and that has helped me focus on trying different receipes.
@danyellclark Get yourself an enema kit and do it yourself! Be sure to research procedures and water temperature before you begin. I like the temp around 100 and use distilled water. Thanks for watching! :) Peace & Love
thanks for posting this! I need to lose weight for health reasons and I have transition to raw and vegan foods. I purchased the vita mix and the green star juicer. So far I lost 27 pounds from 308pds since September. The scale has stop moving and I am getting frustrated with messing up the recipes! It is costly and I can't afford to make mistakes in making the dishes but I won't stop! My life is depending on me getting this weight off. Please keep posting updates to encourage us watching.
@danyellclark have been taking regular colonics? i would also suggest you get victoria boutenko's book and watch clent manich and dave the raw food trucker
@bellagreengirl Thanks!! :D Awesome, good for you! Take it one step at a time; do what you can handle and don't push yourself beyond your comfort level. I always say: if you are making a change, a better food choice, a less toxic item; then you are on your way. Nothing happens overnight!! Good Luck!! Thanks for watching! Peace & Love p.s. Get a colonic or do an enema!!! (helps detox)
@MyHealthierMe hehe well i know, i've been vegan for almost.... 3 years now?? but i have a baby, limited time i can spend preparing raw things, i think. i know they are worth the time they take to make but its finding the time, i'm a single mom so it's hard to even whip up fast vegan meals sometimes.
i usually find myself not even wanting to cook so i just grab a bell pepper and munch on it, or a tomato or whatever's there. it's healthier than the cooked food... but boring!
@marielledelaine Preparing a raw meal is faster than preparing a cooked meal; easier and less expensive. I have a 4yr old so I understand! :) She eats cooked food on occasion (steamed potatoes, and veggies, brown rice, and vegan cookies sometimes). As long as you're making a "better" choice each time; improving along the way; that's all that matters! :D Peace & Love
Hi there. Well, I've been on the Atkins; went from 230 and weigh 152 now. I got really sick of eating meat, eggs and greens today and binge at like heck. I think I have to try something new now, because I'm really missing sugar, but don't wanna gain all the weight back. So I think I'm going to give a raw vegan diet a go. Do you or anyone else have any advice on caloric intake? I never counted calories on Atkins, so I have to admit I'm weary of eating a lot of fruit =).
@tropicallanterns I don't count calories. I also don't eat an excessive amount of fruit or fat (or try not to LOL). Don't worry so much! :) Enjoy the food you select for yourself! If you want to eat a lot of fruit, do so! Just don't do it all day every day; everything in moderation. You can't go wrong on a high raw diet of veggies, fruits, and soaked nuts & seeds. We're getting a bit into the grains now (sprouted quinoa/buckwheat/etc). Don't worry about calories. Peace & Love
@tropicallanterns Another note: I said not to worry about calories, but you should get ENOUGH calories! If you take in a lot of calories one day I wouldn't get all worried about gaining weight; just increase your physical activities to compensate for the excess; and don't make a habit of it (it's hard on the body). Sugar substitutes: dates, honey, raisins, other fruits (apple sauce/banana/mango/etc), fruit juice, maple syrup, agave, stevia, etc. Peace & Love
@tropicallanterns i totally agree with the other poster, don't count calories, don't go on fad diets and don't starve yourself.
Eat healthily 80% of the time treat yourself once in a while to foods you like if they are unhealthy or not and don't feel guilty about it. Exercise... eat often to keep your metabolism fast... thats about it, its not rocket science.
You don;t need to exclude whole food groups like stupid diets do, complete waste of time and often not even healthy
@tropicallanterns Go to Raw Food Talk website and ask questions on the forum. I've been on there now for 2 months and I've had all my questions answered and I've lost about 16 pounds and gained toned muscle in 6 weeks. I haven't even been to the gym. Just light jogs in the morning for 4 days a week.
This is such a great overview of your progress, we started out about the same weight so hopefully my results will be as great as yours! Look forward to following you. I'm doing the raw diet so if you want to watch my progress as well just look me up!
WOW you look GREAT!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I just started out beginning at 252 now down to 240 in almost two weeks. You are such an encouragement.
@ivygraciano Wow thats great, I am trying hard to stay on this raw thing, I feel so much better and now that I have a little more education about how to eat and what supplements to take it helps ALOT. I am confident I will stay on track and your right this video is very inspirational.
@unicornsatemygrandma No problem! We only know what we know when we know it (I didn't know at one point either!!) Your body produces some amino acids and enzymes on its own; the rest you must get from food sources. An adult needs to ensure they get the 8 essential amino acids (while children require a few additional). Enzymes are found in healthy ripe fruits and vegetables, and don't forget seeds! Hemp seeds contain all 8 essential amino acids! :) And sooo tasty too! Peace & Love
@2bsassafied :D Thanks! That's awesome! We all need motivation! My main YouTuber motivators are "LifeRegenerator", "TheRawFoodWorld", and "RawRadientHealth" ...but there's sooo many more!!! :) Peace & Love
WoW! 60 pounds in 4 months, now that is impressive! I just went 100% raw straight from SAD. (researched for many months first) Did Atkins-hated it. Very unhealthy. Raw is who I AM. Congrats on your weight-loss and health journeys.
@BillionYears Thank you. Welcome to the health revolution! Prepare for detox! It's all worth it though; don't forget that! Keep on keepin on!! Peace & Love
Wow!! You are an inspiration :)

@marielledelaine Like what? There's a vegan or raw recipe for most things!!! :) Peace & Love
MyHealthierMe 1 year ago
@MyHealthierMe hehe well i know, i've been vegan for almost.... 3 years now?? but i have a baby, limited time i can spend preparing raw things, i think. i know they are worth the time they take to make but its finding the time, i'm a single mom so it's hard to even whip up fast vegan meals sometimes.
i usually find myself not even wanting to cook so i just grab a bell pepper and munch on it, or a tomato or whatever's there. it's healthier than the cooked food... but boring!
marielledelaine 1 year ago

I never counted calories on Atkins, so I have to admit I'm weary of eating a lot of fruit =).
tropicallanterns 1 year ago
@tropicallanterns I don't count calories. I also don't eat an excessive amount of fruit or fat (or try not to LOL). Don't worry so much! :) Enjoy the food you select for yourself! If you want to eat a lot of fruit, do so! Just don't do it all day every day; everything in moderation. You can't go wrong on a high raw diet of veggies, fruits, and soaked nuts & seeds. We're getting a bit into the grains now (sprouted quinoa/buckwheat/etc). Don't worry about calories. Peace & Love
MyHealthierMe 1 year ago

Just light jogs in the morning for 4 days a week.

so what do you eat instead of meat? cos dont you need the protein?
unicornsatemygrandma 1 year ago
@unicornsatemygrandma Protein is made up of amino acids. I eat plenty of amino acids. Don't forget about enzymes! Thanks for watching :) Peace & Love
MyHealthierMe 1 year ago
@MyHealthierMe so where do you get amino acids? and enzymes? sorry, im new to this :p
unicornsatemygrandma 1 year ago
@unicornsatemygrandma No problem! We only know what we know when we know it (I didn't know at one point either!!) Your body produces some amino acids and enzymes on its own; the rest you must get from food sources. An adult needs to ensure they get the 8 essential amino acids (while children require a few additional). Enzymes are found in healthy ripe fruits and vegetables, and don't forget seeds! Hemp seeds contain all 8 essential amino acids! :) And sooo tasty too! Peace & Love

WoW! 60 pounds in 4 months, now that is impressive! I just went 100% raw straight from SAD. (researched for many months first) Did Atkins-hated it. Very unhealthy. Raw is who I AM. Congrats on your weight-loss and health journeys.
