don't recommend the phone. I have this model and it keeps crashing when I put scheduling events in. It's even crashed when I've gotten text messages. I was suprised to learn that another person who has the same phone is having the same problems. Don't get this phone.

I have this phone and i droped it alot and it never broke. I think those gold colored parts are metals. When i hit those parts with my fingers, i can definately tell that it is not the sound of plastic, it sounds like i'im hiting a metal. And This phone is not really a light weight phone. IT is kind of heavy(because of the metal parts), but you barely notice it. overall it is the best looking flip phone interms of outside and inside(those keypads layout and styles) and those white growing lights

If you press sharp button that is next to number 0 button, can you hear the clicking sound? because when i press that button, it feels numb, meaning i don't even hear the clicking sound nor feel that i'm clicking it. Just wondering if that is the case for my phone or Gleam in general. thx.

yes u sure can, if u dont like the car theme (i personaly didnt like the battery rundown useing it) but yes the theme can change, theres cruiser, which is the car theme, theres espresso which is my favorite cuz its a little more stylish and then rainbow which is like some of the older phones menu styles were its the whole menue shows but threw each one the backround color changes and such trust me youll like this phone, ive gotten so many compliments

Umm if u were smart enough to double check your info to make sure that statment isnt wrong go look up the samsung u700 you will get 2 phones, yes there are 2 diffrent samsung u700's one is gleam the other us just u700 But ck279 info on this is fully correct its a great phone and im glad to have baught it

Yes to question 1. You can take a picture with the phone closed using the outside screen as the viewfinder. You cannot however read text messages from the front display.

the hold button on the right side of the phone is so that the touch buttons on the front of the phone for the mp3 player wont work and when you hold that it locks it so it wont play wen you touch it so it dont go off by its self and if its unlocked it allows you to use the play button and on the front screen wen it is lit up it the right corner there will be a lock sign if its locked or not

The "hold" button on the side locks out the three touch sensitive music player buttons on the front of the phone when held down for few seconds. The front screen has to be turned on prior to doing this.

i have owned this phone for six months now, worst cell phone i have ever had. when i first got it it was cool the living walpaper was neat and the battery was good. now i get like no reception anywhere. it turns off every hour and takes atleast 5 minutes to turn back on. the battery lasts a good ten hours when i dont use it...if i send more than 100 texts i lose over half of the life. i would not recomend this phone to anyone...i still gotta live with it for one and a half more years!!

Don't expect much from the camera. The 2MP is good in terms of having a larger image, but in this case does nothing for image quality.

Sorry about the "HOLD" key description. I had just gotten it when I did the review. The HOLD key is used to lock the external music control buttons so you cannot inadvertently press them.

I'm looking at this phone for my next phone. I just saw it today (this is my 2nd time seeing the phone in person). This goes out to those of us who have slight visual problems (those with moderate visual problems may still have to get close to the screen); in the past you could enlarge just the font size for typing phone numbers. Well, now, you can enlarge both the phone number AND THE MENU FONTS! :) Just make sure you have the Cruiser theme selected.
