@YoungHuza: The cron starch is very important. Iodine is also an indicator for starch, and it turns black in it's presence. By adding a little corn STARCH to each liquid, you can see the colour change much quicker becuase any remainig iodine will react with the starch and turn black. It has nothing to do with consistency.
It would have better if you measured the Corn Starch though, because if one liquid got more, the colour change would look more prevalent than another. - But Great Lab!
