I never liked the Rancor. That scene where the green space slave stripper is killed by it horrified me as a child. I did not feel sorry for it at all when Luke killed it or when that fat prick that took care of the thing cried about it.

well pointed out about the hand damaged later in the film i think it happens when he says point it at the deck then that skiff guard shoots his hand

it's a beautiful toy. He'll be one of the first Star Wars toys I'll get when I finally settle into my own place. I always loved the Micro Machines version. I played with it until it broke. This new rancor is beautiful, size accurate, paintjob is amazing, and I love that his jaw opens and closes so he can munch down on victims. Of course, I'd get myself a Gamorrean Guard so Rancor can eat him.

That fellow is resplendent with detail. I fear for his wire fingers..i can see them snapping in the future if one tried to play with it too much...
Probably just as well that i have neither the space, money nor inclination to buy him them! :)
