i just got my pacman frog 3 days ago... day one he ate 1 0r 2 crickets, but now he is just letting them run infround of him and not even trying to eat them, is this normal????? help!!!!

I'm getting one pacman in month and my guestion is can I handle this frog after some train and after he/she will have some trust to me?

@evilcarni No, you can't handle Pacmans. The oil etc. that's on our skin will be absorbed by the frog and it will most likely die over time. If you want a handleable frog, you should get a white's tree frog, or a different animal. Good luck :)

what do you mean you cant carry pacman frogs i carry mine all the time

Even if you follow percautions, its bad for it. Are you making sure that your hands are super washed with no soap residue, makign sure no hand chemicals like locion or sunscreen ect. was recently put on, and make sure your hands are wet? Otherwise, your frog can get super sick. even if you follow EVERYTHING above and more, its still very bad for your frog. (unless you have one of those frogs that you can handle, still you must do all thee above)...

about a month and a hafe ago my white tree forg "Dumpy" died from cancer :( and even tho it was vary sad i was thinking of getting another frog. i have looked into red eyed treefrogs and pacman frogs what do you think.

@thereptilejunky Sorry about Dumpy. Frogs can die of Cancer?! Well Pacman frogs are very cool, but they can't be handled, same goes to red eyed tree frogs. I presonally like most frogs, but let me know if you're looking for a frog that you can handle, or that eats only insects, or that needs a small tank, or that can live with others etc. And maybe I can suggest you one :)

@SkinkyDinker it would be nice to hold my pet but i have my crested and leopard gecko for that so its not really to mutch of a turnoff. I would just like to know the hardiest frogs you can get i dont want this happening again:( just telling you i have fancied treefrogs ever since i was little that is why i first got dumpy.he was my first pet you know get 3 years ago :(

@thereptilejunky Sorry again :/ Pac's (seem) are pretty hardy if you get them in good health at the beggining and of course if you have the proper conditions. Turtles are VERY hardy and you can handle them, the only con is that they're dirty and you have to change their tank often. Good luck =)
