There could be secret deals between Iran and the U.S. regarding a power-sharing arrangement in the Middle East. For awhile, I was sure we were going to war with Iran, but something tells me this is just not in the planning. If Iran was disabled from years of bombings and sanctions, maybe there would be more of a possibility. I can't imagine the U.S. Military being reckless enough to go to war with Iran now.
