He's a poet. What better way to connect with an audience today than through music? Whitman wouldn't be a poet if he had been born in the 21st century. Convinced he would have been some form of singer songwriter. Yorke justifies my reasoning further with albums like The Eraser and every other brilliant masterpiece he has completed with Radiohead.Listen to Fake Plastic Trees.Radiohead recorded that song in the early 90'. it vindicates the zeitgeist of the condition of the modern western world.
what I love about thom is that, unlike most of the other "artists", he really puts all himself while performing and doesn't care about all the rest.it's just him, the piano, and his world.
This performance leaves me dumbfounded, It's unreal.....I'm past crying, it's so profound. Even after a whole bunch of watching really emotional songs this performance hits me...even though I've watched it many times before.....
I literally am finding it hard to comment on this performance as I am awestruck by it; every lyric and musical nuance hits me like a emotional hammer of awe and reduces me to a crying, laughing, wondering ball of cerebral delight. Ossim.
cheater????? the big boss is thom yorke. Without him i am so lost. i suck and i suck the song for radiohead.and i suck my frenchies speeches. sorry for my bad englinsh but i like (love) Thom Yorke!!!
Thom is not only a musical genius, but also a philosophical genius. No man can come up with these brilliant, truthful, and important ideologies of life and the world and then wrap it all up in his musical talent in sync with his abstract lyrics filled with so many metaphors and symbolism to produce different dimensions of meaning. He's like the Shakespeare/Socrates of our era, but translated into beautiful music. More people should recognize this.
@kaloo123 this is how ive felt for many other musicians too, okay maybe not many compaired to all i know, but some. like for instance, Rodger Hudson, George Harrison, . but even still, thom goes so deep he disapears into the darkness (maybe in the bottom of the sea ;-)
This is like my sixth time watching this in the last three days, and it still makes all the hair on the back of my neck stand up when he starts wailing at the end. No one can do anything like this except Thom. Except maybe Thom with Radiohead.
I'm a young electronic/ambient producer and musician and if you've got time I'd really appreciate you checking out my songs on my youtube channel. If your not bothered then you can ignore my comment but I would be truely thankful for any listeners. thanks
I think you don't understand. Nature will always be there. Ants will always march unrelentless. Dandilions will grow anywhere. We are so arrogant to think we have power over life and assume that it is fragile. Nature adapts, thrives in adversity. We just change the mix, the biodiversity as we attempt to survive. The only thing is that we have lost synch with our environment and each other. Sometimes good music reminds us, hopefully...
The condition of the environment isn't sad...we are. Peace
Thom Yorke, you sir are a balla beyond regards of reason. The day you die I will visit your grave and think to myself "There will never be a man who can make music like you Thom." You seriously get into my head with this song like you are talking to me in my head in such a relation to perception. Just wow, queit honestly one of the best musicans to ever live. Tip of the hat to you dear fellow, my you keep being a balla for everyones ears. Music is divinity.
@pronoc1 lol how can someone put chris Martin in the same category as Thom Yorke? Even chris Martin would agree that Radiohead is way more talented then his own band would be hahaha
@yugyun CHRIS MARTIN ISN'T SHIT COMPAIRED TO THOM YORKE. Coldplay is lollipop bullshit that Lil 15 year old girls sing along to. U can't even put them both in the same category . By you even making that ridiculous comment I wouldn't even begin to argue you with you. Stick to your top 40 lady gaga, justin beiber and your cold play
When someone makes a retarded statement music related you have to first go into their favourites to see if they're a troll or a real faggot. I can honestly say he's simply a troll :D
The way his fingers slip on the piano, how he flirts with the mic-it's amazing how a so simple existence can hypnotize your senses.I still can't describe with words the way this man enters my ego
T be honest with u, i'm a big RH fan, a bit less fan of TY, and his album, until i heard this performance. I couldn't but change my mind. All what i hope for is he and his band continues making wonderful music essentiel for our 21st century. big applause for them all

@88STREETFIGHTER88 I'm pretty sure the song is about "analyzing" (lol no i'm not mocking you) a person wanting to do the right thing but he doesn't know what that is because "there's no time to analyze" and is forced to make decisions that he (or she) doesn't want to.
His award looks like the marker in dead space. coincidence, or the beginning of unitology? I shall follow lord Thom. This performance was so beautiful
