1st off, it's a *kicking* move, not an uppercut like Shoryuken.

2nd, unlike Shoryuken, Rising Sun hits twice

Rising Sun is actually a copy of another fighting game character's move: from King of Fighter's Rugal Bernstein and his Genocide Cutter attack, which is also two slicing upward kicks.

All of his animations are identical to the dmc3, capcom actually ,made a really good job with him.

It's not like everyone would notice it and hinder their gameplay, in fact this version of MvC has the most diverse set of characters unlike the previous.
