  • You ignorants! LEAVEN IS NOT TO BE USED FOR COMMUNION! DO NOT QUOTE THE PARABLE REGARDING THE YEAST AND THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN! THE FIRST COMMUNION SERVICE WAS TO DO WITH UNLEAVENED BREAD (MATZAH), AND AS PAUL PUTS IT, 'Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old yeast, or with the yeast of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.' (1 Corinthians 5:8). Leaven is sin, Communion is not sinful, is it?

  • @MenechemShaul Paul wrote many things. If we follow your logic, women with uncovered heads and speaking in Church are also sinful.

  • @foxriverfred you sure its not the opposite? women to uncover and men to cover... yes, he was a fast talker.

he said things he hadn't even thought of yet... he could contradict himself twice in a single paragraph

and get everyone to think what they just heard is the truth.....but.... he could go to places . he was privileged.

well to do, roman citizen who was educated (he says rabbi gemaliel, a talmudic scholar was his teacher)

    and spoke greek......

  • @gyreenedoc women to cover their hair "lest they tempt the angels". Of course Paul spoke Greek. All Romans spoke Greek. Few spoke Latin, and none in every day conversation. Latin was an archaic and formal language even to them. Greek was the lingua franca of the ancient world. I am not so sure Paul was "well to do" materially after his conversion. If he was, then why would he sew tents (his trade) to earn his bread? And would a rich man even need a trade like sewing tents?

  • @foxriverfred paul made a living by making tents like jesus made a living by making tables and

chairs by being a carpenter.... you need to check into that...

  • @MenechemShaul aaaaaah. that is another reason i dislike paul. i admit he was educated and intelligent.

unlike peter. peter was the "am ha eretz" a regular, "down-to-earth" simple man and I believe it to BE the reason, jesus picked him. and look what happened? paul waltz in, with a tale of a vision for which we have

to take his word--three different versions of it not withstanding-- takes over.....poor peter, fish smelly peter....

    i miss you.

  • Can't believe this is all it takes to make Osiris/Dionysus' body!

I wonder how special His blood making is.

  • nicely done. the lord blesses.

  • A four year old boy appears in a superman costume. On his forehead, a rock secured with a band. Under his right arm, a rolled up mat in which is a tubular container holding Superman crackers. In his left hand he has a compass. I am going to pray to superman he announces, the rock is kryptonite to disable my powers, the compass is to orient the mat on which I pray and I will eat one cracker after my prayers. At what age would you tell this young man he has to stop? Are you an anti-marvelite?

  • That's is VERY awesome! Thank for this video, Although I'm HIGHLY ROMAN CATHOLIC, I still enjoy watching others, and I love the song choice! :)

  • The hosts are flat. Why do these seem so thick? I'm curious.

  • Orthodox host is much larger... more like real bread...

  • @ki4clz yes, it does because its like a regular leavened bread... and is very different

than in what is used catholic church. you see, mass is renackm ent of last supper

priest playing the jesus' part......in last supper jesus was eating passover. in judaism leavened bread is not eaten.... another significant difference is in roman church the "body" and "blood" is NEVER mingled.....why they are so different?

    guess....

  • @gyreenedoc The Byzantine Catholic church, which is in communion with Rome, uses leavened bread for Communion.

  • @mindspring57 re: leavened

yes, i know. that is the reason i asked that question... since jesus was celebrating

passover. (last supper) jews do not eat leaven for the duration... if the mass is

the reenactment of the last supper then why in orthodoxy regular, leavened bread

    is used ?

  • @gyreenedoc That is the view of the Roman Rite, which uses unleavened bread. The Roman Mass emphasizes the passion, suffering, and death of Jesus, for the benefit of mankind. The Byzantine liturgy celebrates the Resurrection. Leavened bread is symbolic of the resurrection. Just as Jesus is risen, the Bread is risen too. Christians are not bound by the constraints of Passover. We may go beyond. Using leavened bread is one way of doing that.

  • @gyreenedoc Because Christ is risen! In Orthodoxy we focus on His resurrection -- and not his passion and suffering. It is His resurrection that shows His divinity. His suffering and passion shows His humanity.

  • can someone please translate what was said in the beginning? I am hoping the ingredients are given. There is flour, yeast and water, but there has to be something else...

  • @cokeysaid check the jewish cookbooks under "Challah" for the recipes..

  • Um, the small pieces are for the people, and the large ones are for the celebrants.

And they look like cookies, then it tastes sweet as well, with wine.

Probably Russian, Greeks divide their huge-type of communion breads.

  • Is this Greek or Russian?

  • What's the difference between the bread made with the small and large cookie-cutters?

  • Amazing! Did they bake them after that? How do they look after baking? I am curious.
