They knew the width, height, and length of it before they broke ground. The knew how much steel, concrete, and other building materials it would take to complete the project before they broke ground. Streets and road are well maintain, city's are beautiful and well maintain, compare to some of the city's have seen in the US. We are proud to pay taxes, as long as it's spend wisely and carefully.

@RetSquid we have our own problems too but not in the scale as yours, as it is a much smaller country. the police here can stop you, search you, ask for an I.D. with no reason at all and if your illegal they will put you in the next available plane. The Mother was WRONG, the Patriot Act had nothing to do with the arrest. Go read the update on the kid. A YouTube search still comes back with no third video. With fourth video, it doesn't prove anything, I could make one that says the Act is good. There is no backing for the claims.

So, you work less that the average person in the U.S., get paid less that the average American and pay far more in taxes than any American would submit to. We pay about .09 euro per liter (converted) in gas taxes. Most food is not taxable at all. Cigarette taxes are about 40%, as a guess.
I guess the difference is that you expect the State to be your mother and bank, American believe that the Government should have little to nothing to do with their health care.

@RetSquid well i would never trade my life to an American life, i live quite well on my salary, i pay more taxes but at least i don't have to worry for my health issue, university is free, in a way you get the money that you've paid in taxes. Streets and road are well maintain, city's are beautiful and well maintain, compare to some of the city's have seen in the US. We are proud to pay taxes, as long as it's spend wisely and carefully.

I'm not a big fan of that but you live with it. You have no idea of what those farmer can do with a few tractors, when they upset the whole population is worried, it's quite impressive.

I suppose people must have pointed this out already, but the fasces is an ancient symbol of the Roman republic whcih was adopted by the French republic after the revolution. That is where the US took it from, not from the fascists which came much later. The current coat of arms of France still displays a fasces. So let's try not to be too paranoid, shall we? And if you're going to go through the trouble of putting up a video on youtube, do a little research first.

Fascism wasn't around during the 1770s. The fasces wasn't a fascist symbol until the 20th Century. Until the rise of Hitler and Mussolini, things such as Swastikas and Bellamy salutes were common in the United States without the fascist connotations.

Again, the enlightenment thinkers, who inspired the founders, saw Republican Rome and Greece as a romanticized free society. If you look around, there are a lot of symbols and other things in American/Western society that are classically inspired. The fasces was a symbol of the Roman Republic, so it isn't surprising the that that was made an American symbol, seeing as the Americans were trying to emphasize their new republic.

Wow, this video is dumb. First of all, "fascism" was termed in the early 20th century. Therefore, the Roman symbols (the creator of this video obviously is completely ignorant of Roman influence on the early US) have nothing to do with fascism.
The Swastika has been a symbol and was used in the US before Hitler. In fact, that naval building in San Diego up there was recently redesigned (spending thousands of taxpayer dollars to do it).

I don't really know what documents you mean, and you are not providing a source. Maybe the US did want to cooperate with Germany, until Hitler went nuts and started taking over the world, I don't know. All I know, is that Hitler's policies were the direct opposite of the US policies. Again, politically, the US is not even close to socialism and certainly not the nazis. You just need a basic understanding of politics and cultural policies of the US to realize this.
