@musicadviento . The last ring is marked 18k so our job is to test it for 18k and make sure that the gold stamp is accurate which it is, for the purpose of the video i added the 22k acid to show how the gold streak fades - this prooves that the ring is at least 18k as stamped and below 22k!
@Zalzal019 . The streak has faded and that is the sign you are looking for! If the item was PLUMB 14k it would not fade at all - as you can see when we test the 14k ring

Yes, it is normal for the streak to fade slightly with time, what we are really testing for here is to make sure the gold is indeed gold!
