I was so shocked to see this viedo of Busby and the boys. I grew up in Busby, and knew most of the boys in this video. It brought back some very nice memories of the time I grew up. Times were hard, we wouldn't know though because our parents shielded us from the hard times. All I knew was playing, laughter, and a lot of family and friends. No such thing as video games, texting or computers. Life was GOOD!! Thank you so much for making this video and sharing it.
I just wanted you to know that I'm planning on returning to Busby and Lame Deer in late June this year. If you mom would like to meet and talk - that would be wonderful.
Hi. I live in Busby- have since I came to teach here in 1975. I was really trying to recognize the boys who would all be about in their 40's now if they're still around. I definitely recognize one, but was wondering if you have names. What brought you to the community as a 19 year old in 1975? Thanks for sharing these precious images.
You ever think about going back and seeing how these kids turned out as adults? It's a good slide show - it kind made me sad when I seen the two elders. I think of all their rich knowledge they knew, more then the knowledge we know now you know.
I had planned to return last May, but I had to change my plans at the last minute due to bad weather. I have communicated with one of the "kids" very recently who stumbled on my Facebook profile. I also sent all of the pics and related materials to the Northern Cheyenne Nation and was contacted through the tribal authority. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you again. The whole purpose of these videos is to come alive to the fears we have sacrificed ourselves to and find our authentic self, as the real journey of our lives.

@WarriorTrail
Is there a way to tell me, which of the boys are no longer here? If you'd like, I could send you my regular email.
Thanks for watching.

Growing up on the Rez was the best, we didnt know we were poor because we were so rich in many other ways.
I wish I was swimming right now with my fore fathers at crazy head springs.
