I got this game recently... it´s tough to get one these days. I like it. So far I´m at the third base, the system is almost spot on, battles are quite hectic... especially if the enemies gets a few more turns and crits. It´s nothing for beginners though. Best to have tried Nocturne first... as a tutorial. This is almost as brutal... you´ll see...

@icarocovenant No, SMT Nocturne is pretty easy once you get the hang of where to go and what to fight with which technique. This game literally kills you if you do one little move wrong. You need for example at some points turn yourself into a human in order to do some better damage sometimes. That, since some enemies just can´t resist that gun of yours. It also gives you less chance already in the beginning. At some points I nearly died. This was the very first area.

@FinalHype So the added difficulty in this game is the addition of human/demon form? Since they both use press-turn system... Thanks, I'll give Nocturne a go then! (I've been too intimidated thus far, heh..) But I heard something like once you remove a skill from a demon, it's lost forever? Unlike in DDS where you can simply re-equip them later.

I LOVE Atlus RPG's. There so different from other RPG's and their stories are fantastic. The Shin Megami Tensei series are all freakin' great.

There's this idea in the gaming industry that utilizing a 'silent protagonist' helps the player put themselves in the place of the character. Serph is a silent protagonist, sadly enough. I would have loved to hear him talk.
