@pianoman469 im gettin there! haha im gonna make my own custum side exit exhaust (if its leagal in pa.. haha) with eather a magnaflow or thrush racing muffler, a k&n intake filter, ignition, computer tuning,.. just your basic bolt on upgrades. :) the only visual upgrades i wanna do to it, is put a spoiler on it, find some nice 15' rims from a junk yard and paint them eather blue or black, and i might give her a custom paint job. :D

@fowbm a regular Fiesta is around 1100Kilograms , they stripped out weight from this car so it should be less than 1100kg , and its drivetrain is modifed to be an all wheel drive , it is 850 horsepowered but limited to 650 due to regulations (btw the engins is a 2.0 litre Olsbergs performance engine) , so yeah its possible for that car to propel 0-60 in 1.9 seconds

Ok, the figures look impressive but I can't quite believe that a car with mainly "ordinary" (tyres, engine, fuel) parts can devastate cars designed for pure acceleration. like dragsters and stuff.

But in the real world, I think the majority of people in the market for an affordable performance vehicle would much rather opt for an sti or evo than anything Ford has to offer. The RS is a great car but the subaru has awd standard and looks way better (my opinion). In that respect, subaru is far from being overrated.

Ford Will Win This Seasons WRC 2011 - Back Where It Belongs! - I dont think you guys realise how good these cars are compared to the old subarus, evos, ect - Times are a changing and making leaps and bounds in technology. Its called evolution - if we didnt move on we would still be cavemen. We have class B rally for all you guys living in the past, which is fair play, each to their own.
It really is incredible how stupid you have to be to think that Ford is no good compared to Subaru or whatever. All these companies use the same people, design teams, and management teams to run their rally campaigns each year. People move around between teams all the time and the cars are 100% rebuilt for rally and have ZERO relationship to the road versions.
Of course some teams are better than others but the quality of the road cars is completely irrelevant. Grow up FFS.

@60SecondAssassin1 I agree; in terms of rallying, I can't deny that subaru is overrated going up against riced out "Fords" with 400+ more bhp than Ken Block's former sti. But in the real world, I think the majority of people in the market for an affordable performance vehicle would much rather opt for an sti or evo than anything Ford has to offer. The RS is a great car but the subaru has awd standard and looks way better (my opinion). In that respect, subaru is far from being overrated.

Sure awd is great for the winter but as mentioned the STi will get its ass handed to it any summer day by rwd vehicles like the Hyundai Genisis or Ford Mustang v6 (not to mention v8). P.S. - sorry to invalidate your comment but Ford sells more Mustang's then Mitsu or Subaru could ever dream of selling Evo's or STi's. Guess Ford does sell more affordable performance machines huh? Most people like rwd over awd.

And btw, yeah ford does sell a shitload of mustangs- greatly in part to girls and douchebag guys who know next to nothing about racing or driving a stick and get their parents to buy them one as a fashion statement. The mustangs are very affordable , I just wouldn't be seen driving one.

AND there is the fact that Euro Fords are epic. Subie Impreza WRX STI didnt even qualified to face the Evo X on Top Gear, they went for the Focus RS instead... so yeah.
And I like Subies.. just not the new STI, it's trash. I'll stick to an older version anyday, more performance-oriented instead of a grocery-ride car with low mileage.

@heliffe If you don't believe me, look up "ford team rs" and you'll notice quite quickly that the people who developed the focus rs are british. So as you can see, performance cars you people associate with Ford are nothing more than european cars under an american label. As to Ken Block's fiesta, well, it may have started out as an American Ford (a true Ford), but I can guarantee you that 95% of the mods they put on that thing to get 850hp have nothing to do with Ford.

It really is incredible how stupid you have to be to think that Ford is no good compared to Subaru or whatever. All these companies use the same people, design teams, and management teams to run their rally campaigns each year. People move around between teams all the time and the cars are 100% rebuilt for rally and have ZERO relationship to the road versions.
Of course some teams are better than others but the quality of the road cars is completely irrelevant. Grow up FFS.
