Don't care for the Sharapova groupie, BUT I must agree with Tracy on this one. It's not outside of the rules to step in, whether one is retreating from that position or not. As professional players, they shouldn't be so thrown off by the antics of an opponent. Personally, when I step way inside the baseline for a 2nd serve, I'm planning on staying put and ripping the return. Once a player tried stepping way in on my 2nd serves, so I went hard right at him each time until he backed up, not DF.

Just the other day when he was covering the Djokovic match he pointed out that Novak went to change his wristband, not because he needed to, but to get a swig of water and buy some more time. Meanwhile, Robredo was at the baseline waiting to serve. Novak did what he needed to win the match, and Jim didn't fly off the handle then.

It was childish, but Maria should have handled it. I doubt it would have fazed Graf or Seles.
