@Zig0n exactly. I own a 99 Malibu. A small little 3.1 L V6. Nothing special. It can get going pretty fast with a top speed of 117 in mine, and 0-60 in about 8 seconds. Nothing to race with tho. But I love the car like its a part of me.

We actually convinced the kid afterwards to take off the neons AND put the stock tails back in. He actually did it, too! And if you know of anyone with a turbo/spray/whatever V6 in the Youngstown, Ohio area let me know, I'll be more than happy to race them. A heads/cam turbo V6 Camaro runs as fast as a stock LS1.. and my car isn't stock.

YES THERE ARE V6 Mustangs faster than a camaro. YEAH BY ADDING a cam, turbo, ecu, same for any car. unless u have a corolla AE86-great drifting car but for the parts out there "for find" usually you get like 430(+or little)horses. V6 mustang can at least make 500 horses.

I didn't go wide open. If I go wide open at 35 it downshifts to first at 5k RPM and breaks them loose, here it just stayed in second. We see this kid all the time and try and get him to rematch, he never wants to though..

really? how much psi are you running? lol at the shifting part, i remember the first time i tried speed shifting it was embaressing, not only did i mess up and still have my foot half way to the floor but i also didnt push the clutch in all the way. good thing no one was watching but after a few months i can shift faster than an auto could ever wish. i like my 5spd but i think it could really use anouther gear.

@Zig0n exactly. I own a 99 Malibu. A small little 3.1 L V6. Nothing special. It can get going pretty fast with a top speed of 117 in mine, and 0-60 in about 8 seconds. Nothing to race with tho. But I love the car like its a part of me.

We actually convinced the kid afterwards to take off the neons AND put the stock tails back in. He actually did it, too! And if you know of anyone with a turbo/spray/whatever V6 in the Youngstown, Ohio area let me know, I'll be more than happy to race them. A heads/cam turbo V6 Camaro runs as fast as a stock LS1.. and my car isn't stock.

well im from nj /fl in fl tons of turbo/sc/all motor v6 mustangs.punypony is frm orlando.i lived in fl for 5 years and the camaro/mustang scene is crasy there. here in jersey it tons of imports few fox 5.0s.few cobras n gt's and very few camaros. wish there was more muscle in nj cus these imports are cocky with their 13s cars lol.

YES THERE ARE V6 Mustangs faster than a camaro. YEAH BY ADDING a cam, turbo, ecu, same for any car. unless u have a corolla AE86-great drifting car but for the parts out there "for find" usually you get like 430(+or little)horses. V6 mustang can at least make 500 horses.

Sorry to say it but for one thing a 4 cylinder car can have at least 700 horses. The only thing this is a RICER MUSTANG, he bought a neon instead of a cold air intake or any other mod with the money.

Yeah, theres also Geo Metro's that run 9's. When you add a turbo or swap cams or anything like that you're making a major change to the car. Same deal with all the 3.8 F-body kids. I don't care that theres a V6 Firebird down in Texas running 9's. That car is NOT streetable, even if it was could it be daily driven? You can argue V6 vs V8 all day. Bottom line, you want a car that can run 9's and 'be different'? Get a V6. Want a car that can run 9s then drive home while getting 25 MPG? Get an LS1.

I didn't go wide open. If I go wide open at 35 it downshifts to first at 5k RPM and breaks them loose, here it just stayed in second. We see this kid all the time and try and get him to rematch, he never wants to though..

you know what can beat that camaro easily? My car. lol. well maybe, i'd have to ask you some q's about your car. But i have a Stock 93 Rx7 FD R1 pack twin-turbo. 0-60 5.1 is what it says, but my 0-60 is more like 5.5 lol. have to get a new stage 2 clutch to get a 5.1 read out lol.

now i wouldnt say your 93 FD would beet a stock z/28 easily let alone a ss, seeing how the 0-60 on a lt1 z/28 is 5.5secs, and 5.1 on the ls1 ss, so you would be neck and neck, then the maro would win unless you have a top speed over 157mph

lol no, my top speed is 155, so i would like to race it then. i like good races. not one sided ones ^^. Guess i didnt know the specs of the camaro like i thought i did. I was basing it off of a z28 my friend has. I beat that one by a car length. Though i'm better at shifting than he is so lol. i dunno. i just want a good race

really? how much psi are you running? lol at the shifting part, i remember the first time i tried speed shifting it was embaressing, not only did i mess up and still have my foot half way to the floor but i also didnt push the clutch in all the way. good thing no one was watching but after a few months i can shift faster than an auto could ever wish. i like my 5spd but i think it could really use anouther gear.

EXACTLY, I never had an issue with V6 cars but I hate when you see these guys flying around revving at everything that moves. Sadly its only going to get worse as these older V6 cars become more affordable as a first car. I'm even starting to see GT and Z28 rice every once in awhile.. its a shame.
