Can I just point out that in 1988 as opposition leader John Howard called for a significant cut in asain immigration. May I also point out that the Howard government has risen univesity fees well above what was intended by the Hawke government when they introducted hecs. Although you may work for minimum wage it would be fair to say that the unions movement would have contributed significantly to the conditions you work under.
