Sorry, but this is just crap, apart from the words it has absolutely nothing to do with the really great origin song from BOC. And wtf is absolutely hard about doing a song in one take, what do you want do perform on stage, songs splitted in 7 takes? We do this song also on stage, in one take and with only three people, i´d never dare to call me a musician if i wasn´t able to do a song in one take or perform it live...
@stardust210264 The problems with my previous takes arose from the fact that I wasn't recording it in a studio-- I had two friends in the room, both of whom were distracting me, and also two cats in the room who weren't allowed in the main part of the house, and who kept meowing during takes.
My goal is never to make a cover that sounds like the original song, but to interpret each song in a way that's original and true to my own sound. If you don't like it, don't listen! =]
I came to this video out of curiosity, and I have to agree with the initial poster. Maybe it's just a bad take (or takes) but it's not that good. Besides, what's with that technoish sounding middle part? Why not just sing to the original song? Anyway, it's not that good. And I don't hear your cat, so that's not an excuse.

I'm definitely intending to blow some of my hard earned dollars on studio time at some point in the future. It's tough because right now the only thing I can really do is sing for people live, which is never ideal. Figured this was a step up because at least I can link this to my mom. XD
