I think it's just that people prefer the cast that introduced them to this beautiful music more. I love the London Cast, but the OBC is still my favorite since they're the ones who sang this for me the first time ever.

You can bittorent a camera copy of one of the old off-broadway performances of the whole play too.

I got a copy on piratebay, that's how I saw the play since I live in canada. You'll be able to watch it with the original cast that way too.

It's only a camera from the audience though, it's obviously not amazing quality image/audio wise.
